THIS IS A 2002 HONDA GL1800 GOLDWING It has been listed before and did not sell...this will be the absolute lowest "reserve" and "buy it now" price I will take...it is a great bike and I am reluctant to sell. It has been a real conversation starter for me in parking lots... kids wave at me... many thumbs up on the road. This bike (with the trailer) is so stable and manueverable that I am sure that I could get out of a tight situation more efficiently than my cruiser without a trailer. You can believe everything you have heard about the Goldwing because it is truly one of the greatest bikes ever made, and the trailer is the best fit I can imagine...almost like it is not there, even when it is windy. If my wife would ride with me there is not a chance that I would be selling it. It has been well cared for and loved; garage kept, regular oil changes and basic maintenance, new Dunlop Elite 3 tires (nubs showing), newer chrome front cowling, Kuryakin valve covers and I have added a 12v power outlet in the locking glove box on the right to charge a cell phone or radar detector (which I have a velcro mount for on the dash). The bike has been used for longer trips, mostly between California, Oklahoma (where I bought it) Colorado and Texas. In the summer of 2009 I road it to the east coast, my longest trip. It is also a good bike for around town, but I had a cruiser until a couple of years ago, that I did local riding on. I sold it first, but I still have not ridden much, so it is time for it to go. Although it is nice looking, this has not been a show bike... it has been used and shows some wear. It has never been dropped, but has some dings in the trailer (all when parked) and it has some light rust that should show in the pictures. It has been garaged in the Houston area. The only thing that concerns me about the value is that the LED screen in the instrument cluster had a light bulb that apparently moved to close to the screen. YOU CANNOT READ THE ODOMETER. I know this bike does not have more than 40,000 miles. The instrument cluster is available on eBay for less than $500, and could be up to a $900 fix at the dealer. This has been figured into my asking price...the milage is still recorded and will show itself when the instrument cluster is removed and the light bulb replaced. I am willing to make this offer: If you buy the bike and have a dealership show that it has more than 40,000 miles... I will give you back $100 for every thousand miles over that you can show me it has. The bike truly runs as smooth as silk and has most of its life ahead of it. This unfortunate (for me) problem is going to get some one a great deal on a bike and matching trailer that is worth much more. I know no reason why this should be a problem. It is clear and legit. And, the brakes are good, but a bit squeaky ...I assume this is because it has not been ridden much, lately... and should correct itself with use. New battery, oil, tires make this bike ready to go.
