Vehicle Detail

1972 Chevrolet C10 short wheel base two wheel drive. This truck has been built to resemble on old Esso Gas Station shop truck. The business name, etc, are totally fictional. This is just a rough old truck. Its got plenty of rust and bondo in it. A "rat rod" if you will. The engine is a 350 small block chevrolet. Fires right up and sounds awesome. I had the valve covers off a few months ago painting them and it looks really clean in the heads. It's got a freshly rebuilt edelbrock carb on top of it. This is a factory V8 truck, factory power steering, factory power brakes. Its got a 3-speed manual transmission with a Hurst Indy floor shifter. It shifts as you would expect from something that was converted from the column, a little sloppy, but goes into all the gears fine. It hits a little on the seat going into 1st, might be able to adjust the linkage a little to clear it. The bed floor is pretty much rusted out on the truck. They must have hauled salt or fertilized or something in it. It does have a nice drop im bed liner though that hide's the rust. I was going to put a wood floor back in it but never got a chance. The sides of the bed are very solid though. As well as the frame, there is zero rust in it that I can find. The body is just a rough old truck. The paint doesn't shine, in fact its been sanded down to make it look older, the patina look. You won't have to look hard to find bondo. But with that being said, its nothing that couldn't be fixed if someone wanted to restore the truck. To make it nice it really needs cab corners and rocker panels, a bed floor, new tailgate, and passengers side fender. For an extra $350 dollars, I can include a set of Corvette rally wheels, 8's in front, 9's in back that have been painted to match the top of the truck. For another $50, I can throw in a set of police style caps for them. These are Corvette wheels, so you will need an adapter to make them fit this truck, but with the adapters, they should stick out a little and look really nice. The truck will need tires soon. I've driven it on these, but they aren't great. The brakes stop the truck, but they aren't great and will need attention. Truck is as is, where is, drive home at your own risk but I'd recommend a trailer. Feel free to come look at the truck at any time before bidding. The truck is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. $500 non-refundable deposit is due by paypal within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Full payment must be made within seven days.
