Summary: 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, 10,583 miles, 1ZVHT88S185127026, Vapor Metallic over Black leather, Ebony stripes, 5.4L supercharged 500 HP V8, 6-speed manual, one obsessive local owner, like new inside and out. In the following paragraphs I will attempt to describe this very special car in excruciating detail. This car has been babied and garaged since new, and except for the mileage is in nearly new condition. It even smells new inside. Simply an incredible car that has been used for pleasure only and owned by a Ford enthusiast. Standard Features: Power windows, doors, mirrors, locks, driver’s seat, keyless entry, cruise control, Shaker 500 audio system, aluminum hood, sport seats, Brembo brakes, stability and traction control, TPMS, and dual front and side airbags. The Vapor Metallic paint looks fantastic with a deep glossy shine, wheels are like new without any wear or damage, glass is not pitted. Even the fade prone black plastic panels are still fully black. Quarter window vents are always a nice upgrade on Mustangs, and the color is a perfect match. The Ford GT style wheels are another nice upgrade over the somewhat boring stock wheels. Simply incredible condition. Interior: Again, perfect. No stains, tears, cracks, scratches, smells, smoking, or pets. Leather is perfect with no wear, carpet is perfect, vinyl and plastic is perfect. Everything works exactly as it should. The Premium Trim package includes a stitched dash that really makes the interior feel more luxurious. It even smells new inside. Carroll Shelby signature plaque with VIN helps to reinforce how special these cars are, and the Shelby arm rest is a tasteful upgrade. Front floor mats are in excellent condition, and a second set of new mats are also included. Basically brand new condition. Mechanical: Flawless and incredible to drive. Tasteful upgrades by a mature owner with the intention of addressing the GT500’s weak points and reliability, along with a small (by GT500 standards) enhancement to horsepower. The suspension upgrades address a weak point on the GT500 rear end, reducing wheel hop and improving power. The heat exchanger reduces supercharger heat soak on hot days. The one-piece driveshaft is more robust and reliable than the factory two-piece unit. The tuner and intake provide a nice bump in power without sacrificing factory reliability. Finally, the SLP exhaust sounds FANTASTIC under acceleration, but without being annoying on the highway or around town, and without any drone. The mechanical performance is flawless, no warning lights, no leaks, no smoking. The engine fires up quickly, idles smoothly, and pulls hard. No suspension pulling, clunks, or other signs of damage or wear. The Brembo brakes are strong without any vibration or pulling. The transmission shifts smoothly without any grinding or popping out of gears and the clutch is strong without any sign of slipping. Tires are in excellent condition with like new levels of tread remaining. Just a wonderful car to drive that feels every bit like it has been babied for just over 10,000 miles. Flaws: Overall this is a superb car, easily the nicest car I have owned that wasn’t brand new. I am very particular about cars and fully believe in full disclosure, in this case flaws are very minor. Exterior – a few light rock chips on the front end. Interior – flawless, but it does not include rear floor mats. I have described this car to the best of my ability, but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Upon request I have over 100 high resolution DSLR photos and a copy of the window sticker. Title is clean, clear, and in hand. This is a superb car that that I very seriously considered keeping, it is amazing to drive and is collector quality. The next owner is going to be very happy.
