There are a lot of photos here, if I missed anything please let me know and I will post it! This is a nice lower mile '79 CBX that I purchased from a Honda dealer in the midwest that would occasionally restore local CBX's that they would purchase. This bike was a local Iowa bike that was always stored indoors and ridden in the summer only. It has low miles and is in really nice shape. The bike is a rider, but would be equally at home in a collection. It has undergone a light resto with a repainted frame, new paint, some new Honda bits here and there along with brand new rubber front and rear, new chain and sprockets and a recent tune up. I do not have a complete history of the engine but I do know it has a big bore kit, and I believe aftermarket cams. It makes great power up top and is definitely the fastest CBX I have ridden. I am not sure of the exhaust but it is not stock, sounds great and is not obnoxiously loud! The bike had sat in the showroom for awhile last year so when I got it I had the carbs went through again and the valves adjusted as well as a few plugs replaced. The bike fires easily and runs well, it makes huge power at the top of the RPM range and idles nice, it has a very slight stumble right around 6,000 RPM but it is pretty minor, however I am sure some tuning is in order! The bike has a period correct aftermarket Aluminum Swing Arm, it also has the Euro bars and rear sets!! Rear shocks are Konis and the front forks were just rebuilt with fresh fluid and seals. Bike has braided lines front and rear. In the last year and the last 100 miles the bike has had: New tires Chain and Sprockets Forks seals and fluid Brake fluid Oil/filter K&N Pod Filters Grips Petcock Footpegs Other stuff I am probably forgetting! There are a few issues that need to be addressed. Carbs just gone through but it may need some fine tuning as there is a slight hesitation at 6k, but it is really minor. The tach drive cable is on its last legs, so consider that it needs to be replaced, it is also leaking a tiny bit of oil from there. Also another minor oil leak that appears to come from the alternator cover. The carbs do not have the clear bowl drain lines installed, they may weep a drop or two fuel on the engine, so they should be installed. The horn is missing but I think I can dig it up. The blinkers light up, but do not flash, but all lights work, just a flasher issue. All other electrics 100%! ONE WEEK NO RESERVE!!! DO NOT MISS IT!! EMAIL ME WITH QUESTIONS OR A BUY IT NOW OFFER!!!
