You are bidding on a beautiful Honda XL 80S, with just over 400 original miles showing on the odometer. I don't want to overstate this bike, but as you can see in the images it is incredibly beautiful. This bike is one of two '85 XLs that came out of an estate, and has been ridden very little. It is absolutely stunning. The paint is original, the tires are original, actually everything on the bike is original to my knowledge. This XL 80S has covered just 442 odd miles, and the odometer is working. This is one beautiful bike. Honda simply got it right with these. Cosmetic issues: The seat has a couple of very minor stains, and a small puncture on the side, otherwise it is beautiful. There are also a couple of small dings and scratch on one side of the tank. Beyond that there is one small scuff on the handle bars and on the exhaust. There are some scratches on the front fender, and the glass in the mirror is cracked. This bike runs and rides like you would expect for a cycle with just over 400 miles! Please look closely at the images, as I've done my best to show any of the minor cosmetic issues on the bike. See the bike running below: Mechanical: We put fresh gas in this (non - ethanol premium of course) and installed a new battery. We had the carb serviced by a mechanic, and the bike absolutely purrs. It fired up on the first kick, and the engine sounds amazing. I took it for a short ride and it shifts through the gears beautifully and runs very strong. The headlight, blinkers and brake light are working. The horn beeps. Overall this is a great opportunity to own a built- in- Japan classic Honda. Just an Icon that you can actually ride. If you put this on the back of your motorhome - be prepared to answer a TON of questions. Remember this is a real Japanese Honda - not made in Thailand like many of the new minis from the big brands. You can kick-start this one. It is quiet and just a pleasure to ride! Honda quality through and through. It is street legal in Montana, but who knows in your state? As this came out of an estate - a new and clear Montana title has been applied for. It will be mailed to the owner approximately 3 to 3 and 1/2 weeks after the end of the auction.
