I need to get rid of this car quick, make me an offer. Here is a great restoration project for any shop or car lover's dream. I have a 1966 Oldsmobile '98 with the Super Rocket V8 engine and automatic transmission for sale. The car started as a project car and all of the interior and exterior were broken down to reupholster and paint but the car owner fell on hard times and could not pay for the work done. Unfortunately rust has started on the metal body after the paint was removed. You can see there were actually some body work started but never completed. So for a restorer, all of the trim break down has been done with all the parts still with the car. Also, the rear seat is completely finished and looks absolutely beautiful. As far as the trim, all of the pieces are shown in the picture, along with all of the fasteners bagged and labeled as to the section. These are all original part and the same goes for the engine. I know the car sat for close to two years but I drove the car 33 miles to my house. The engine sounded strong but I did notice that the car vibrated after 60 MPH and the drum brakes seemed worn or out of adjustment, but the never failed. Please ask me for the video taken during the drive so you can see and hear the car cruising. The car does not have a battery, but can use mine for test drives. Even after sitting it started on the second try. Power steering worked as well as having new oil and good coolant levels. The previous owner drove the car regularly before starting the restoration.I'm asking 800.00 OBO (Or Best Offer) since the car runs and has all of the original parts.
