IT IS A 2 OWNER AND HAS A CLEAR ORIGINAL TITLE AND IS A TRUE 1967 CHEVELLE SS 396 4 SPEED 138 CAR WITH A 3:73 12 BOLT POSI TRACTION REAR END, WITH 24,230 MILES. CAR WAS PURCHASED NEW AT LUJACK'S IN JULY OF 1967 BY A MAN WHO WAS IN THE SERVICE. DAD WAS LEFT WITH THE VEHICLE AND A LOAN WHILE THE SON WAS AWAY AND GOT TIRED OF MAKING THE PAYMENTS. HE DECIDED TO SELL THE VEHICLE AND IN SEPTEMBER OF 1968 IT WAS SOLD TO ANOTHER GENTLEMAN WHO WAS ALSO IN THE SERVICE. IN MID AUGUST OF 1969 THE MOTOR WAS REPLACED BY LUJACK'S UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. SOMETIME IN THE EARLY 70'S THE VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED BY A HIT AND RUN DRIVER AND THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER FIXED. OVER THE LAST 40 YEARS THE SECOND OWNER HARDLY PUT ANY MILES ON HER. SHE WAS HIS BABY BUT COULDN'T AFFORD TO FIX HER LIKE HE WANTED TO. CURRENTLY TODAY SHE HAS 24,230 ORIGINAL MILES. It looks to sits fine and tracks fine(straight). There doesn't seem to be any major frame damage. I will be willing to take any other pictures you may want. There is some rust in the trunk as the pictures show, I have seen a lot worse. It looks like it was from the rubber mat that was in there from the factory and it was from water damage. He had spray painted the trunk at some time. It also looks as if the rear tail light housings, front and rear bumper and chrome was replace at some time as well as the carpet and door sill plates. I drove it 7 miles on Sunday and it drove nice except for the old bias-ply tires. I have looked at the paper work for the replacement motor numbers and there are no numbers on the paper work that show what motor was put in the car under replacement. It has the invoice number for the motor order which is #23567 and when they did the work the invoice number its self is #24921. This is the only paper work they gave him back then. It only shows charges for nuts, bolts, oil, filter, pcv valve and plugs. That's why I put the pictures of the numbers. The protect o plate is a replacement that the dealership give him when he picked up the car and has no real info on it besides the VIN# and owner info. This dealership is/was famous for not doing things the right way and they finally just lost their Chevy Franchise a year ago.
