1979 Pontiac Trans Am. 6.6L 403 V8. Automatic. Beautiful Carmine Red paint, black interior. Gold snowflake wheels with brand new tires. Power steering, power disc brakes, ice cold air conditioning, am/fm 8 track radio, power windows, cruise control, space saver spare tire. 2 owner car, came from an older gentleman's private collection. The car runs and drives very well. Just this year, I've driven it two hours each way to Tennessee to the Corvette Expo, two hours each way to the Pigeon Forge Rod Run, last weekend I took it on an hour each way cruise to Seneca, South Carolina, as well as many other local trips to dinner on the weekends, etc, etc. Wouldn't be afraid to head out on the Hot Rod Power Tour or across country or wherever in this car. Whether its idling around town, sitting in traffic at rod run, running to the grocery store or blasting down the interstate at 80, this thing is as smooth as silk. One of the best driving old cars I've ever owned. Brakes are great, power steering works nice, air blows cold, heat works like an oven, radio plays nice and has great reception, I haven't tried the 8-track but I'd assume it works. Windows roll up and down nice. Even the cruise control still works, a great feature on an old car! All of the gauges work. It's got new tires like I mentioned, Coopers too, no junk. Its got a new Interstate battery. New factory style exhaust with the dual tips on each side in the factory location. New starter. New timing chain. Many other new parts, the previous owner was very particular about his cars, if it needed it, it got it. Sometimes it got it just to be safe whether it needed it or not! The interior is very nice. Black seats, black carpet, no rips or anything. Dash pad is in great condition. I'd rate the interior a 9 out of 10. The paint has a great shine to it and shows very well. The color gets comments every where I take it. This is a driver though, so it has the normal nicks and scrapes you would expect. There are a few places on the front bumper that could use touched up. The side flares have the normal rock chips in them. But the car is straight as a string, no dents or waves. The hood bird is nice, not perfect, but nice. The side birds have a little wear to them as you can see, but show nice. Under the hood is in good condition and appears to be very close to the way she left the factory. The car is showing 31,000 miles but I'd assume that is 131,000 miles. I didn't get a picture of them, but I have all the factory owners manuals and books that came with the car. You are more than welcome to come look at the car before you bid. The car is located in Franklin, North Carolina. About two hours north of Atlanta,GA, an hour west of Asheville, NC, three hours west of Charlotte, NC. One person's idea of good, one person's idea of bad may be totally different than the next person. I've done my best to describe this car as best I know how. I think my feedback will reflect this. I've sold several cars over the years site unseen and sent them all across this great nation to people and have never had anyone call back upset with what they got. If anything, I try and down grade the car a little bit. I'd rather you get it and be extra happy than mad. If you are sending a shipper, I will be glad to accommodate your/the shippers needs best I can. There is a paved business parking lot close to the house the shipper can load the car up at and turn around,etc. Car is as is, where is, no warranty. 500 dollar down payment via paypal is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. If you are wiring the money to have a shipping company pick up, I will work with you but expect my money asap. I can assist in storing the car for a week or two until suitable shipping can arrive. If you want to come yourself, cash is fine. We are within a few hours of several major air ports, Atlanta, Asheville and Greenville. There is a Enterprise rental car company here in town, fly in, drive there, we will pick you up and bring you to the house to get the car. Drive it home.
