Vehicle description: You are bidding on an all-original 1979 Honda CBX in exceptionally nice condition. This bike has just 5,941 original miles. The original Honda factory finish shines like new – the color is Candy Glory Red. The warning label on the tank is still intact. The original Honda CBX ignition key comes with the bike, as does the CBX owner’s manual and tool kit. The 1979-style tail cowl is in beautiful condition. The bike has all of the original equipment including the grips, mirrors, turn signals, seat, and HM422 exhaust pipes. The HM422 pipes are in excellent condition, I particularly provided a picture of the underside of the right pipe which shows there is no rust, even at the collectors, which is a common CBX problem. The tires have been recently replaced and are like new. The gauges have a brilliant orange color showing very little fading after 37 years. The orange/red markings on the switchgear are very bright as well. The bike will come with a CBX cover and I will also include the official Honda Shop Manual and Parts Catalog. The bike has been kept in an air-conditioned, smoke-free/pet-free environment. Vehicle Condition: Excellent condition as described above. The bike also runs well, as you would expect from a low-mileage Honda. There are no dents or dings in the bodywork. The tank is beautiful but the front fender has been repainted because of a scratch. Also as seen on the picture, the left muffler has scratches and a minor ding. The mufflers have some very slight pitting on the chrome, but it can only be seen if you look closely (too slight to be shown in the pictures). The header pipes and undersides of the exhaust system where the collectors attach to the mufflers are near perfect. The engine is exceptionally clean.
