Vehicle Detail
1981 Ferrari 308 GTSi Targa with 43468+miles. Garage kept. The color is Ferrari Fly Yellow. This is a "REAL" Ferrari 308 GTSI Targa with a "REAL" GM 3.8 Liter motor and GM automatic transmission. The car does not have the original motor or transmission. When I purchased the vehicle it already had the motor & transmission conversion completed. The conversion was expertly done and I have had no problems with the car. The ignition is worn but I have come up with a special red key that works every time. It runs on regular gas and I get all of the engine parts, tune up items and filters from our local CARQUEST. I have owned this vehicle since 3-10-2006. I have used it in numerous parades, trips, weddings and car shows with no mechanical problems or issues. The paint and interior are in great shape. It comes with a Ferrari tool kit and red satin Ferrari car cover. The car has 235-45-17" tires & wheels. The vehicle is road worthy and can be driven anywhere. I would put new tires on the car if I planned on a long trip. I have owned this vehicle for 9 + years and have used the same tires that it came with. There is plenty of tread, but I would be concerned with the age of the tires and dry rot. The a/c blows cold and the heater and defrost work too. The power windows work but are slow to come up and down. The headlights and pop-up motors work as do the running lights and brake lights. So for all of you guys that want a real Ferrari but don't want the maintenance or the price tag of a concours level car and don't want to buy a cruddy or fake looking Pontiac Fiero or a Firebird 308 fiberglass kit car, than this ride is for you! The "High Bid” wins this Ferrari! It's offered without reserve. The car has a clear Kansas title that has a previous salvage history with no liens. The mileage is accurate on the car. The car spent its life in Texas, Kansas and Alabama. This vehicle was stolen on 10-1- 2003 and paid off as a total loss from a Kansas insurance company. The car was recovered on 8-4-2005. The car received a rebuilt title on 2-27-2006 and I then bought it from a dealer in Kansas on 3-10-2006. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions please call me direct at 334-221-4859. Please only make bids on this vehicle if you have the funds to pay for it. Respectfully, Mike
