I am selling this beautiful, original 1953 Mercury Monterey 2-door hardtop flathead V8 automatic to help settle an estate. This car has been extremely well cared for - garage kept and babied since new. The car has a super straight body and trim. The car was painted about 20 years ago and is showing some bubbles and hazing in the rear trunk area. Overall, the car has a very nice appearance. The seats are in great condition and the overall interior is very good - with the exception of needing a new headliner. The chrome is good and straight, but could use the rear bumper rechromed. The car runs, drives, shifts, brakes and sounds fantastic. Everything works on the car as it should - with the exception of the factory radio and clock. The doors open and shut great. The windows roll up and down perfect - even the power seat works fine. The car is everything you would expect from a 59,000 original mile car and is read to enjoy immediately.
