Vehicle Detail
I bought this car several years ago as a winter project and I have spent an additional $4,000 on new parts and mechanic assistance. It had two very small rust spots (which have been repaired) and the Cardinal Red paint has been touched up here and there. I have the car running now, and it starts and drives as it should…with the exception of white smoke out the exhaust when I engage the turbo. The car does not smoke at all idling, even to maximum temperature, only when driven hard and the turbo engages. It could be as simple as a clogged oil/cooling tube, or it could need another turbo (rebuilt goes for $650). I no longer have the space to work on it, or the health to complete the project, so my loss is your gain. I am selling the car “as is” with NO RESERVE, so high bidder will buy this car with the thousands of $$ worth of new and very good condition parts listed below. I will assist with shipping. The car will start and drive onto a trailer or dolly with no problem, but it is not street legal. I have a clear Ohio title with keys. I have described the car to the best of my knowledge, look at my feedback. As this car will not sell for a huge sum, I will want total payment by PayPal within 3 days of close of auction, and you must take it away within 7 days of payment. I live one mile from the PIT airport. Comes with original hardtop, wheeled storage dolly with cover, and hardtop installation tool in glove box with owner’s manual and folder. Known issues: dash brake light on due to new brakes need to be bled, hairline crack in exhaust manifold (see arrows in pic: very common, you can’t hear it with the hood closed), radio doesn’t work, and the turbo issue.
