Vehicle Detail
Congratulations, you are bidding on a FLORIDA 2003 Pontiac Vibe ( same as Toyota Matrix but with a Higher Trim Level ). This is NOT a Michigan, Virginia, New Jersey, etc., ice, snow, ROAD SALT, potholed roads, slipping and sliding it's way through minus zero winters Pontiac Vibe, and it is NOT a used car dealer Pontiac Vibe for sale that dealer took in on a trade or picked up at an auction 1 or 2 weeks ago, but this is MY personal owned, for 3 years, 4 months, 14 days and 52,183 miles (and counting ), daily driven ( only by me ) Pontiac Vibe for sale. I am a semi retired,( spend summers in cool New England and winters in warm St Petersburg Florida ) non smoking, 59 year old male, who has maintained ( Haynes Manual included ) and driven this Pontiac Vibe ( a Toyota Matrix but with GM front grill / nose ) like I want it to last forever, doing the speed limit, in right hand lane, let everyone pass me, accelerate slowly, brake early, ( not so much for fuel economy, but to keep from hitting or being hit ), park in the shade when I can, park way out in parking lots to avoid door nicks from cars parked next to me, has not been a work vehicle, has not carried lumber, matressess, furniture, kayaks, or anything sticking out tailgate or rear window, have not allowed smoking in vehicle, no pets, no spills of food or drinks, no carpets odors or stains, never left windows or Sunroof / Moonroof open in the rain ( and no leaks from them ), avoid driving through puddles, have never towed with it, was not a trailer/tow hitch on it when I bought it, nor have I ever added one, have driven it to San Diego, LA, Las Vegas, Las Cruces, San Antonio, Pensacola, etc up and done the mountains of desert South West, Big Bear Lake, West Texas,( coolant /oil / transmission never overheating, thanks you Toyota ) and each mile driven with confidence which comes from the peace of mind I get from maintaining my Vibe ( soon to be your Vibe ) with Mobil One synthetic oil and Purolater / Fram oil filters changes done at 5,000 miles ( a practice I carried over when owned beautiful Audi when was Real Estate agent ), 87 octane gas, factory Toyota ATF fluid ( $6.27 quart ) and flush/filter, NGK spark plugs, serpentine belt, tie rods, ball joints, axle half shafts greased, sealed, tight, stainless steel exhaust system is quiet, interior headliner tight to the roof, the heat is hot, AC is cold, no clicking, no clunking, no squeaking noises, car steers straight, no uneven wear patterns on all 4 tires ( which are smooth and quiet riding ),Bosch electric fuel pump installed on day one, ( original Denso fuel pump was fine, but did it for preventative maintainance , easy to install, located under lift up rear seat ), NO timing belt on these engines, but a double roller timing chain, the exterior paint is shiny, no deterioration of the clear coat, two 1/4 inch paint chips on hood near windshield washer spray nozzles have been touched up with Duplicolor brush in a bottle, along with 1/4 inch paint chip next to passenger headlight, NO stone chips on front or rear bumpers ( I don't tailgate others and those who tailgate me usually just pass me when they realize it doesn't make me speed up ), a small one inch or so dent / depression on driver side front fender that may be able to be pushed out by one of those Dent wizard guys, the interior seat fabrics have no rips or tear but rear seat back behind driver has 4 or 5 light gray stains ( zoom in on a photo that I included and may see ) maybe from crazy glue ?, replaced the little battery in my keyless entry fob when one inside finally died, tried to program the sequence of clicks for receiver to accept, gave up and now lock and unlock doors by key, no check engine lights except couple years ago when code 046 flashed / evap system leak on Auto Zone free scanner, spent $ 15 or so for new gas cap, reset ECU, never had a trouble code cince then, there is a 115 volt outlet plug in center console that is not connected ( came that way ) and have not pursued trying to connect it nor had times I wished I had 115 volts available to do whatever with it, windshield is about 2 years old after small stone from a gravel truck in front of me near Wilson, North Carolina ( driving home on I-95 ) hit my windshield leaving dime size crack, so auto insurance company picked up full tab on new replacement. Sadly, reserving and renting a U-Haul F-150 everytime I want to put my boat in and out of the water is taking it's toll on me, returning pickup, watching the time limit, adding fuel, picking up Vibe, etc, so the time has come for me to pass a nice car that has been good to me ( and I to it ) to it's next owner. I did an AutoCheck on Vibe, VinAudit.com, tried to do a Carfax, but they did not email me report ( but took my $49.95 on my VISA ) and it looks like Ebay will be offering free AutoCheck vehicle history report for first time auto listing,so will follow up on that, also. If there is anything you are not sure about, please ask me. I respectfully ask winning bidder to contact me so I can assist you in your plans / arrangements. Thanks, Ken
