Excellent condition throughout! 2002 Ford Thunderbird Emerging from a hiatus of several years, Ford introduced the 11th generation Thunderbird in 2002. Returning to the original formula for the Thunderbird, the latest version had the two-seat convertible layout of the first generation. And the retro styling was complemented by the Jaguar-designed 3.9 litre DOHC V8 powerplant, producing 252bhp and 267 lb·ft of torque, mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. From the first year of production, this stunning black on black example is offered in excellent all-round condition. The oroginal jet black paint is in excellent condition throughout with great luster and depth of shine. The car has never been in an accident, certified by Carfax. A repainted front bumper cover, due to stone chips, is the only evidence of body repair, and you have to look closely to see that. Brightwork and glass are all excellent and the rides on the optional chrome alloy wheels, scuff-free and shod with good tires with plenty of tread remaining The interior is excellent with very minor wear to the leather on the seat bolster. Dash, panels and carpet are all in unmarked and excellent condition, as is the soft top. The car does not come with a hardtop. The mechanicals are all excellent. The engine feels tight and responsive, shifting through a perfectly smooth transmission. Brakes, suspension and steering are all excellent and all electrical systems work perfectly, including an excellent stereo radio/CD player and cold AC. The car shows 165,800 miles, but presents more like 30,000. Purchased new in May of 2003, the car covered a remarkable 155,000 miles in the first 6 and a half years. That owner maintained and stored the car prefectly from the mechanical and cosmetic condition of the car now.
