1970 Mercedes Benz 280SE - European Model A gorgeous, all original 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE in Silver Grey over Black Leather. -This car was first purchased by a US Naval Officer stationed in Germany. He bought this car new in European Spec through the Mercedes-Benz European delivery program at the factory. -This car was a special order car as noted by its unique options, which include Leather, Sunroof, Air Conditioning, Emergency Tool Kit with special red triangle signal, Becker Radio, and a rare Seat Adapter for the front center bench area. I have a complete build sheet from Mercedes Benz Classic that confirms this car's original paint, interior, and options. -There is a gold plaque on the glove-box lid with the first owner's name on it. This first owner brought this car back with him when he was later stationed in Pensacola, Florida. -He then sold it to the 2nd owner in New York, a collector who took great care of preserving this German spec car, leaving all its original military stickers from its time in Florida. -The car has a gorgeous, all original Silver Grey paint, code 180. This paint shines nicely and only has a few small nicks and scratches from 45 years of use. -Seals are still soft and completely intact. The car drives like a tank with no undue rattles or squeals. The doors still close with that incredible Mercedes vault like feeling. -The interior is completely original and in spectacular condition. The original leather is still soft and pliable, the wood still shines, and all the buttons/lights/features work as they should. -This car comes with all of its original German and American brochures intact. This is the most extensive set of original Mercedes literature I've ever seen with a car! -The car runs and drives beautifully, shifting nicely with plenty of power and no smoke. The car starts up easily and accelerates/brakes/handles with typical Mercedes solidity. -This is is a fantastic Mercedes-Benz and is a wonderful car for a discerning enthusiast or for a collector/museum that is looking for a Mercedes-Benz in all original condition that also happens to have a great story behind it. -It has a clean CA title and comes with an amazing assortment of original documentation.
