I am re-listing this car for auction because the "winning" bidder backed out stating that they did not realize that the vehicle was a manual shift. Transmission is a MANUAL 4 speed stick shift!!! ;-) Engine was rebuilt recently and runs strong. It could use an electric choke for the really cold days if you so choose to drive it then. Body, pinch welds, floors and frame are in good condition and free of dents and rust. Chrome and brightwork look great! Paint is newer and presents well with only a few minor scuffs. Interior is usable as it sits now. The seats would need to be recovered to enter it into an awards type show. Brakes work. There is a slight pull after it has sat a few days. This straightens up with some regular driving. The car does not need much to be a show stopper. It makes a great driver as it is now or even a daily if you wanted. This vehicle is far better then many of the others that I have seen on here that are going for far more money. The reserve has been set low in hopes of giving this classic a new home.I am a motivated seller and would love to see someone win this auction. However, I do not want to give the car away. See below for original description and details *** 1966 Chevrolet Impala *** - 2 Door Fastback Coupe - 350CI / 5.7Lt Small Block V8- 4 Speed Muncie Manual Transmission w/ Hurst Shifter - Edelbrock Carburetor - Mild Cam - Dual Exhaust - Paint less than 2 years old- Corvette Rally Rims- Chrome Valve Covers & Air Cleaner- Runs, Drives and Stops- 2nd year for 4th generation of Impala- Only 774,200 total units were produced in 66 including convertibles, sedans and wagons. -This is a rather clean example of the few that are left out there on the road. -The body, frame and floor boards are in good condition. The trunk floor has been repaired and presents well. -The seats could use a recover but are usable as they sit now.
