Up for auction is a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport with just over 75,000 original miles. I bought this Jeep for my wife but she ended up finding a Jeep Liberty and wants to keep it instead so now it's time for the Cherokee to go! It's in really good shape for its age. It was in an accident in the first part of its life - hence the salvage title. The second owner was a master mechanic and fixed the damage and has been driving the Jeep for the last 14 years. It's passed inspection here in Vermont (one of the strictest states) for the past 14 years and passed as recently as February. The Part-Time 4WD light does stay on all the time until the Jeep is shifted into Full-Time 4WD and then the light will switch over. The AC does not currently work and I'm not sure what's wrong with it. I haven't looked since it's currently freezing here in VT. That's the bad. I figured I would start with that and then list the good: This is a 2001 Cherokee Sport with just over 75,000 original miles and one of the best drivetrains ever made. 4 liter, straight 6. These motors last forever and are one of the most proven motors out there. All of the fluids in the vehicle were replaced with synthetics at 50,000 - transmission fluid and differentials. The oil is conventional and has been changed every 5000 miles. It's got a new battery and new front brake rotors and pads. It's currently riding on studded snow tires with about 1/2 their life left. Full size, matching studded spare in the back. It's got a tow hitch already installed. One of the best features for those cold mornings is the remote starter. Just press the button and the Jeep fires right up and it runs and rides fantastic around town and the highway at 65mph. It comes with two keys and two fobs. The body and the interior is in great shape for the Jeep being 14 years old. It's got some chips and minor scratches on the outside but overall the body is straight. The interior back door panels have a couple of scratches as well but nothing too serious. The interior front of the Jeep is really clean. New 4 season mats in the front and back. The back also has a Weathertech waterproof liner installed. The wheels are starting to show their age with a little surface rust starting. The first two pictures of the Jeep show it right after it was washed. I wanted to include these so you can see how nice the Jeep is. The rest were taken after I got home from where I washed it. Sorry but it's next to impossible to keep a car completely clean here right now. Also it won't stop snowing so there a couple of small white streaks in the photos - those are snowflakes! I think the starting auction price is fair and this will be a No Reserve Auction and the Jeep will sell to the highest bidder. Jeep is being sold as is with no warranty.
