Vehicle Detail
Beautiful survivor 1972 Highlander C package 1/2 ton truck. 62,000 original miles, not one or two times around, but 62,000. It shows clearly when you look at this truck closely. Get in and drive it and within the first 50 feet you KNOW you are in something special. This truck still wears her original paint, interior, motor, transmission, rear end, brakes, rotors and drums, with the factory paper id stickers present, 4 shocks and even the factory exhaust and smog pump still remains! Truck has been babied all it's life. The rubber bump stops in the suspension show no evidence of making contact, ever! Look behind the seat and you will find the original jack and related tools in the elusive gm factory foam bag. Original spare is under the bed. Glove box contains the factory service parts id sticker, not a repo, (they are getting better at copying these) Also included is the factory build sheet. A little harder to duplicate so you can be 100% sure this is a Highlander and a c level package at that! The next level of options was typically found on the far more common Cheyenne Super, but even those sometimes do not have factory ac or tilt steering, standard items on the "C" package Highlander. Boyd Coddington aluminum rims are the only mod on this truck, original rims included as well. Something else for you collectors,,,, It still has the factory protector plate. The Highlander package was GM's first attempt at grouped options package sales and was introduced sometime in mid '72. The production date on this one indicates a build date of June '72 making it one of the first in the series. Starts, runs and drives as new. All systems working including ice cold ac. The only thing I found in not working condition is the radio. It lights up when turned on but no sound. I suspect it is just the speaker. Now for the bad. There is one small dent on the pass cab corner, about the size of a dime, small rust spots in the usual places, some very small dents at the rear drivers side (near tail light) and a rust hole in the pass. rocker panel about quarter size. The rest of the truck is solid lifetime California material and has a beautiful patina that must be seen at night to appreciate. The faded green really does some amazing things under the right kind of light! Can arrange shipping anywhere, or fly in and drive er home. No reserve auction, truck will go to the highest bidder! $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auction's end. Sorry but I have been hit by the impulse shopper one too many times. Bidders with no or low feedback please kindly email before you bid. I welcome personal inspection and the truck will be available for such this weekend in Tehachapi, Ca.. Thanks for looking at my auctions and good luck! On Feb-02-15 at 00:30:51 PST, seller added the following information: ATTN!!!! I forgot to show the engine bay in the pics. and ebay only allows 24. So I listed the other photos for sale! See my other auctions or search "Photos 1972 Highlander."
