Up for auction this week is a Jaguar : XK8 Base Convertible 2-Door. The milage on the 1999 Jag is 162,450. A few points about the car: The "check engine" light is on due to the oxygen sensor. The car run fine without it and this is probably an $800 repair which the owner has chosen not to do for 4.5 years of his ownership of this car. Anyone who wants to use an OBD code reader or have an inspection can confirm this. The engine and transmission perform flawlessly and all records on this car are available and included in purchase. The photos will show the minor cosmetic issues. It has the typical light scuffs, blems, etc. that you'd expect on a used vehicle, but it still has an overall good look to it, and it certainly looks to have been taken care of. Please take the time to look through our many pictures and please do not hesitate to ask any questions. Other than the seat tear, it is a beautiful car. The hydraulic top works EXCELLENT!! Minor fading but overall good shape. The car runs extremely well. The heater takes time to warm up but gets hot. The rear view mirror is aftermarket and thus some of the electronics that are typically enabled on the OEM version of it (headlight dimming, home link garage opener, auto headlights on/off) are not operable. The owner charged the battery and ran the car last week, and all is well. He had it up to 90 with no effort. It is a fun car! I don't think there is a worse time of year to try to sell this car heading into the dead of winter. It would sell for meaningfully more if we waited until April. But the owner has chosen for us to list it so the funds go to our church fundraiser.
