I am the 2nd owner of this Silver 2001 Isuzu Rodeo Sport S 2.2L/4cyl and it has been a really great ride for the year I have owned it. I bought it from the orig. owner in January of last year with 85k miles & the title is in hand. The truck will need to have the heads rebuilt due to the radiator overheating as we were coming back from Houston. I thought we had avoided any issues as we did pull over and let it cool several times, however it ran hot a little to long it seems and did affect the heads. I however did not know that and had a brand new radiator, thermostat & battery before we started overheating again & then we found out the heads were bad, so before we could look into having any repairs done to the motor my mom was able to sell us her 2008 car as she just bought a new car was not using it and had 2 already so now we have a newer vehicle and no longer really need the Rodeo and could use the money, so our loss is someone else's gain as this is a really nice low mile vehicle for its age, that's less than 7k a year WOW! If you're good at repairing cars or know a mechanic that can do the repairs this would be a really great deal as this truck has alot more miles to do! The new buyer could also buy this truck for parts if needed/resale, but again in my opinion this has a lot of miles left to travel! Always well kept and maintained by 1st owner as well as myself. The registration sticker will be going out the end of this month 1/15 and the Texas State Inspection sticker 2/15. The car still does run and drive but it does overheat after you drive it awhile, so please be advised that the noted issues will need to be addressed for it to be back to 100%. The tires are still in good shape as well with good tread at 40% if not more. All in all a really nice vehicle that was not abused, now I am not saying it doesn't have a few nicks here and there but it is a very solid car once the heads are rebuilt. I really wish I could get it fixed myself In the last few months prior to the motor issue we did have the brakes redone and as stated we purchased a new radiator, thermostat & a new battery just 3 weeks ago from Pep Boys. Also please note that you can expect to get around 300 miles + when the 15 gallon tank is full. I usually did closer to 325 or so before the gas light came on. Both AC/Heater work & it does have the dual sunroofs (COVERS AND STORAGE BAG ALSO INCLUDED). I am open to all reasonable offers so please let me know as I would like it sold soon!
