Vehicle Detail

For sale is my restored 1968 Mustang. I replaced all of the rusted metal including floor pans, subframe rails and torque boxes(front and rear), added subframe connectors(maeir racing welded in), new inner fender aprons, trunk pan, most of the body sheet metal was in pretty good shape when I got it. The car was completely sanded or sand blasted down, primed and painted throughout. The original 289 engine ran was professionally rebuilt but was in great shape. I added a 650 edelbrock carb, hooker headers and a magnaflow dual exhaust for a great sound. The transmission was replaced with one from certified transmission(same as orginal). New rear leaf springs and rear air shocks added. Front disc brake conversion and original rear drum brakes rebuilt. American racing wheels. The interior is the TMI sport series upholstery and seat foam, black with red stitching and custom door panels. I also added the custom console and a kenwood stereo. The rear glass was tinted and a new front windshield installed. New chrome trim and front and rear bumpers. I did not replace the heater unit or the front fresh air vents. All of the mechanical work and alignment was checked over by a professional shop. The car odometer shows 73K miles and I have less than 500 miles on the rebuild. I also swapped out the radiator for a new aluminum one with an electric fan. All lighting and electrical components work. The car is currently licensed and legal for street driving. Front lap belts were replaced but I did not put in the rear seat belts. I restored this car myself as a hobby and am not a professional restorer. The engine rebuild, transmission, and paint job were all performed by local shops. The car runs, drives, and sounds great. I consider the restoration at 95% complete and all of the "dirty" work has been done. All that is left is the heater, vents, and the rear quarter panel windows may need track adjustment to match the door better. I just don't have the time or a heated shop to carry that stuff out right now. I am selling this to help fund my next hobby project and need the funds to get going. I would be glad to answer any questions but please serious inquiries only.
