Up for sale is my 2001 BMW 740i. This car was listed on eBay a few weeks ago, we ended the listing after learning that there were several oil leaks. This week, our mechanic completed a full gasket job as outlined below. 2001 BMW 740i:110kM-sport PackageCold Weather PackagePremium Package Interior: The interior color is black and is very clean with no rips, tears of excessive wear in the leather of carpet. The bolster on the driver's seat has two checks in the piping, but no significant wear on the carpet. The dash and windshield are free of cracks. All of the electronics operate properly, including all four windows and the sunroof (no leaks). The car has factory 16:9 widescreen navigation, with a factory CD changer in the trunk. The 18 way sport front seats are heated. All of the pixels in the instrumentation are illuminated. The interior wood trim has a professionally installed brushed steel vinyl wrap. It complements the car very well, but can be easily removed. The tool kit is complete, and the books and flashlight are in the glove box. Exterior: The exterior of the car shows very well for the age of the car. The color is Anthracite Metallic (gray) and shines very well. There are no noticeable scratches or fading in paint. There is one small ding in the hood, but was difficult to photo. The car has a clean vehicle history report(last photo). Contact me directly and I will email the report to you, eBay will not allow me to post it in the listing. Mechanical: The car starts, runs and drives very well. The engine and transmission perform as they should, and the handling is very tight. The tires are new Nitto 555 Z rated: 235/50Z/R18 in the front and 255/45Z/R18 in the rear. They are mounted on a nice set of staggered M-parallels. The factory spare is in good condition in the trunk. The heat and A/C work very well. There have been no performance modification to the car. While the car was in for service, the following systems were inspected: Transmission.Rear differential.Timing chain guides.Front and rear suspension components.Cooling systemThe following gaskets were replaced this week:Valley pan gasket.Front upper timing cover gaskets.Both valve cover gaskets.Cooling system gaskets.All associated O-rings.Oil pan gasket.All four intake manifold gaskets.While the value covers were off, we had them sandblasted and powder coated. Hate to go through all this effort for the mechanics to be right and have to deal faded/peeling valve covers.....and yes, powder coating does stick to magnesium!
