I am the original owner of this Beetle. My wife drove it, then my oldest daughter, then my middle daughter, then my son. It has served us well. The clutch has been getting soft for about 6 months and went out Christmas Eve when my son was driving home from Los Angeles. I am not interested in paying a dealer to put a new clutch in and I am not in position to do it myself. Engine still runs strong, uses very very little oil, we have been vigilant about changing oil thru the years. The electrical all works. Moon roof works. Opens, closes and tilts, but years ago the plastic sliding tray that hides the moon roof inside broke and I just removed it. One of the fog lamps is missing, no clue where it went, my son showed up one day to visit and it was gone, said he didn't know what happened. As far as the body you can see in the pics a crease on the right side, and also each running board has a little crease on the bottom. Some misc scuffs and such on it visible in the pics I took. Interior is pretty solid. There is the one tear of a seam on the drivers seat. And some of the little plastic covers for the seat cranks and hinges pop off sometimes. Missing one of the 4 floor mats. Air and heat work fine. All windows work fine. Tires are decent, GoodYear Eagles in average shape, see picture. I figure this would be a good project car for someone that can either install the clutch themselves, or part it out. It's been good to us. Has what I would consider pretty standard wear and tear for a 14 year old daily driven car. Took a lot of pictures so you could see for yourself.
