Water Damaged 2013 BMW 328i The 2013 BMW with 17207 miles was located in the lower level of a parking structure. A water main broke in the area, and flooded the structure and water entered the vehicle. The automobile was towed to the nearest BMW dealer for evaluation.The vehicle was parked in storage, with stagnant water remaining in the foot wells, for approximately three months. The original owner/lien holder was paid off, and the vehicle was towed from the dealership to the Municipality. The Water District removed the water from the foot wells, and let the vehicle air out for over 30 days. The Municipality inspected the vehicle for damage. Car was never started in or out of the water due to damage of modules. The car’s damage includes but not limited to the following issues:. · The vehicle will not start water damage to the modules, and the battery will drain if left connected · The wire harness connectors are damaged with corrosion and should be replaced · Both driver and passenger side C modules are nonoperational · Passenger side FCD/FRM module is nonoperational · The transmission cannot be taken out of park · The motors and air bag modules under the seats show signs of corroded. The functionality of these devices are unknown · Oil in the engine and transmission fluid, has not been evaluated for water. · When battery connected vehicle electric windows go up and down, moon room opens and closes, some of the dash board functions light up. Headlights show signs of water entering the lens, may be module damage, (See photos).California DMV registration expired in March 2014. Buyer will be responsible for all arrears payments.Upholstery may contain mold BMW records indicate the vehicle is no longer under factory warranty. A Car Fax Report was ordered and reviewed. It showed a clean title at the time evaluated. (Available upon request) It is strongly recommended that potential bidders evaluated the vehicle in person. Buyer is responsible for arranging the removal and shipping of the vehicle, at no cost to the seller. “Sold as is, Where is” Buyer to forward wire transfer with payment in full within 3 days after close of bidding. Seller will forward title via FEDEX.
