For sale is a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 regular cab short box with a 24 valve Cummins 5.9 conversion. This project has zero corners cut. Engine is a 2000 Cummins 24 Valve Mexican Block with newer (3yo) Industrial Injection VP44, RV275 Injectors, and a Quadzilla Tuner. Approximately 160K on the engine. Transmission is a rebuilt NV4500 from a 1994 with the newer style shifter top and an upgraded fully splined output shaft. It has 20K on it since the rebuild. Front axle is a Dana 60 front from a 2001 with a CAD eliminator and after market control arms that are 2 inches longer for the 2 inch front lift. 3:55s. Rear axle is a Dana 60 from a 1999 V8 truck with an Eaton Locker and a 35 spline axle conversion. 3:55s Transfercase is a 29 spline 241dld with a heavy duty after market C-Clip eliminator (Gilly's) Paint looks good, still shines nice I believe it is original. It has its fair share of dings and imperfections and the paint is sun faded on the roof , but overall it is still pretty nice. Tires are 315-75-16 Goodyear duratracs all with less then 1/32 wear they have under 5K on them (18/32 from factory) Inside it has a fully loaded interior with leather and all alpine headunit and speakers. This truck has been stored winters and doesn't have a speck of rust on it. It is currently in storage. It is surprisingly nimble as its curb weight is 5600lbs which means its pretty quick and its quite a fun truck to drive. Bad stuff 1. Has a small oil leak at the rear main seal. 4 drops maximum overnight, no effect on oil level between changes. Absolutely not worth fixing unless you have a custom driveway or something. 2. Cruise doesn't work. The pump went bad last summer and I haven't got around to finding a used pump and fixing it. 3. Odometer shows the wrong mileage, its a clean used ebay special cluster from a 1998.5 24 valve diesel and shows around 220K. Actual mileage on the engine is around 160K and the truck body has similar or less mileage. All other options work perfect and the truck really needs nothing. A/C blows ice cold. I went through the entire front axle with new Moog ball joints and U-joints 20K ago. It also has a new Moog problem solver track bar. I have been all over the east coast with this truck. You can trust the truck to get you anywhere in the country without issue. I am firm on the price and it isn't worth it to me to sell the truck for less so I am not accepting offers. Please don't bid unless you can pay. I require you to pick up the truck and drive it home within 10 days.
