1998 Mercedes Benz SLK 230Up for sale is my SLK 230. First let me start off by saying this car has been absolutely wonderful and I have truly enjoyed every second I've owned it. The car runs and drives great and turns heads EVERYWHERE I go! I seriously can't drive a half mile up to my local corner store without somebody stopping to either ask me about the car or simply just to compliment! Anyway, on to the car. She's a 98 with only 97,000 miles on her. Starts, runs, drives, and stops perfect! The supercharged 2.3L motor is great for both performance and economical driving. I don't really drive any highway miles and I average around 24-27 miles per gallon. The car is fairly stock with a few simple changes. The radio has been switched over to an aftermarket Pioneer with a CD player. The car still has all Bose speakers as well as a 6 Disc CD changer as well. The wheels have been swapped over to very expensive Pirelli rims which REALLY set the car off and give it a much more updated look! It has Cooper tires in the front and Yokohama tires in the rear which all have great tread on them. I have never had to do ANY work to the car outside of general maintenance. The oil has always been changed on time with Valvoline full synthetic. There are new brakes on the car front and rear. The battery is fairly new, July of 2012, and works great. The one and only problem with the car that I am aware of is that the high beams don't work. It never really bothered me as the low beams were more than adequate for me to drive around. Everything else works perfectly as it should including the heat, air conditioning, heated seats, power windows, power locks, and most importantly the convertible top! With the push of a button the top puts itself in the trunk and with the push of a button it will put itself right back up. All hands free and a very enjoyable luxury to have. The car is equipped with Anti Slip Resistance as well as winter and summer driving modes so the car handles great in all weather conditions. Please read this next part IN FULL. The car does have a "rebuilt title" HOWEVER it has never been in any kind of a major accident. It was damaged inside a drive through car wash and that is the reason behind the title. The car was fixed and as I stated earlier it is mechanically perfect. There are NO issues not even so much as a check engine light on, NOTHING. Cosmetically this car is not perfect but the price reflects that. A few nicks or scratches here or there but nothing major. As I said, the car is always turning heads and gets attention from all people of all ages. No one believes the car is a 98 as it looks much more modern and everyone thinks this car would break the bank to purchase!
