Vehicle Detail

1993 Honda Del Sol Si Automatic for sale. Single owner Del Sol purchased the day it came in. Passed Maryland emissions in May 2014 with flying colors, but sat most of the summer since the AC compressor needs to be replaced. Started driving again in September and ran great up until about 1 month ago but now has issues starting but once running works fine. Last started on 12/21/14 but will need work to pass MD inspection. Car / engine has 135,868 miles on it and body is in decent shape for the age. Driver door was reskinned when someone backed into it in a parking lot 10+ years ago. Rear passenger bumper damaged in a second parking lot incident 8+ years ago. Small hole on passenger side rear quarter panel from rust from old paint scrape. Clear coat is gone in many places. Email for more pictures or questions. This car has clean title and all records. Car is sold as is where is for parts or repair. I make no guarantees or warranties about the condition. Buyer responsible for pick up.On Jan-03-15 at 07:10:29 PST, seller added the following information: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------*01/03/2015 UPDATE* - A HUGE Thank You to “Woof” who is a fellow eBayer that knows Del Sols quite well. He emailed me Monday after I listed the car and said that the issue with it not starting was the main fuel pump relay. Based on his suggestion (and the fact it was an $18 part) I ordered one – Item 151522434739, and it arrived last night. I installed it and the car turned right over. I tried it again this morning 4 times and it has started each time. I am not adjusting the AS IS status of the car, but letting you know that it started twice last night and then four times this morning. I can also now “hear” the fuel pump so it seems he was right. I can send a link of the new video of it running to those that ask. Now for the bad news; Either I bumped a ground wire while replacing the relay or the Speed Sensor has decided to crap out since the Speedometer was not registering anything when I took it on a test drive after replacing the relay both last night and today. The Del Sol does not have a Speedometer cable, so I have either knocked a ground wire loose somewhere under the dash or the speed sensor has decided to flake out.(With my luck I would guess the sensor as I looked again this morning and see nothing loose.) After a quick Google and then ebay search I found a ton about this; Example Items: 330349831655, 351193896325, or 231091920193 ( I DO NOT KNOW OR HAVE DEALT WITH THESE SELLERS, it was a random pick!) Given the limited time left I will not be looking to fix or replace this item as it will be the responsibility of the new owner. I also do not guarantee this is the issue, but on Google it is well discussed. I also have pictures of the location in the engine compartment and it looks to be readily accessible. It looks a lot like this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MEtlJMqoRQ Please let me know if you have any questions or want a link to the new pictures. On Jan-04-15 at 06:56:19 PST, seller added the following information: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *01/04/2015 UPDATE* - As glutton for punishment I went out this morning and tried to start the car just to check and make sure it was still turning over. Unfortunately, this time it would not start. I started it 9 times yesterday and each time it turned over with no delay or issues as can be seen in the videos. This morning I don’t hear the fuel pump priming and it wouldn’t turn over. I spent about 5 minutes trying, but gave up. So, either the relay is not the answer, or there is some combination issue with the fuel pump. I wanted to update bidders and let them know as the car is being sold AS IS and I want to be as forthcoming as possible. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
