Vehicle Detail

The story of the Sleeping Z Beauty... I bought this amazing car from a family member in 1990, before that she had been owned by that same family member since production in 1984. She was pampered with all the regular servicing throughout her first five years and came to me in immaculate condition. I drove her for 5 years until I had my first child. Not exactly a family car, she was driven very little over the next 2 years, then finally needing a new clutch, she was set aside and stored in various places throughout the next 17 years. Mostly parked in different places in California, indoors and out, covered and not, she took somewhat of a beating to her paint, leather driver's seat, and headliner (which is partially missing,) also some of the silver trim is detached. There is no rust or damage to the body, just paint is dull (I think some of that happened with the polish I had used.) She stayed in California until 2008, then was driven to Texas and made it all the way after an oil change, new battery and new tires. Some maintenance done while in storage no doubt helped her maintain her integrity-new clutch, water pump, timing belt, hoses, and other small tune up things. But she has been sitting in my garage for 6 years since she got here and it's time to find someone who really wants to restore this classic. The tires only have 1500 miles on them, but have been in storage (out of the sun), like I said for 6 years. Recently I checked if she would start and had to charge he battery to get her going, but she started up quickly, after a few starts the battery will not charge anymore but last time I started her, the windows, air, and lights were working, the voice was not but it had been when she came to Texas so may just need a fuse, definitely will need a battery. You will need to pay for shipping (or towing to your home). If you want to come see the car before paying in full, I will ask for a $150.00 deposit that will be refunded in the case that you come look at the car and don't want to complete the deal, or you do buy and it will be out toward the final winning auction price. The deposit will not be refunded if you decide to back out of the deal without viewing the car in person first. Of course, if you pay in full upon winning, there will be no deposit. I have tried to write everything I can think of, if you have any questions at all please send me an email. 3 liter fuel injected 6 cyl. engine, 5 speed manual trans, PS, heat and A/C, AM/FM cassette, power antenna, power windows, power locks, power drivers seat, power 4 wheel disc brakes, power rack and pinion steering, electronic security system, cruise control, dual electric door windows, rear window wiper, washer and defrost, voice activated warning system for low fuel, open door etc., locking T-tops, leather seats. On Jan-03-15 at 12:52:34 PST, seller added the following information: Today I put a NEW BATTERY in the Z, and it started right up, I drove it around the block-no problem. Some things to note: The voice is now working! Dashboard lights and digital display are all working except the gas gauge. The radio is working but the antenna will not go up, also, that hatchback will not latch. I have listed some of the things I had replaced a couple years before driving to Texas, (water pump, timing belt, clutch) couple other things I forgot about-new spark plugs, thermostat, cam and crank seals, heater and bypass hoses, radiator hoses. I don't know how struts hold up over time, but front and back were replaced at 113,00 miles before I had the car. So, good news, you don't need to fork out $100 for a battery! On Jan-03-15 at 14:33:36 PST, seller added the following information: Hatch is now latched after some force, will need some work to avoid problems in the future.
