Our 2002 Isuzu Rodeo is for sale. This has been my wife's car for the last 6 years and I've added every creature comfort I could get so she'd have a comfortable safe SUV. I've always used Mobile 1 synthetic oil and everything is tight and strong. This car looks, feels and drives like a low mileage car. The engine and transmission are smooth, suspension is tight. Brakes, battery, tires, air filter, timing belt, windshield, radiator and factory Isuzu floor mats were all replaced in the last 12 to 18 months. If you are looking for a solid 4 wheel drive vehicle with lots of creature comforts, you should take a close look at this one. This car has a lot of miles left in it and doesn't need anything. The paint looks good, the leather seats are in beautiful condition, the extra features we've added like the remote starter and the JVC Navigation/Sound system make this a really nice car to The Bluetooth can be used for hands free phone calls or to link to music on your smart phone. There's an iPod interface that plugs into a USB port so you can control your iPod through the sound system and you can play music from CD, DVD, USB, Aux port from your phone or MP3 player. The Navigation system is very nice. It's operation is very similar to the factory Navigation system in my Acura. In addition, the original sound system was a premium system, so it has a secondary amplifier similar to the Bose amplifier in my Acura. I tow two large boats with my Acura truck and wanted to upgrade my Wife's SUV so that we could use her vehicle as a backup for towing. We got a good deal a few months back on a larger and more powerful SUV, but we've held onto the Isuzu Rodeo while we drove her new SUV for a few months to verify that we like it. We finally decided that it's time to sell the Rodeo. The current mileage is 201,636 and I want to be clear that we are not selling this vehicle because of the mileage. I worked my way through college as a mechanic and engine rebuilder and still perform most of my own maintenance. The SUV we bought to replace this one currently has 190,000 miles on it and I trust both vehicles to run for years. Modern oil filters, synthetic oils and changes to suspension design have made modern vehicles run for hundreds of thousands of miles as long as maintenance intervals are observed.. The engine in this Rodeo has a maintenance interval for replacement of the camshaft timing belt for a long engine life. The camshaft timing belt was just changed at 190,000 miles and the maintenance interval on the timing belt is 110,000 miles, so this engine should continue to run well with normal oil changes and maintenance until 300,000 miles. To maintain transmission life, I always monitor the transmission fluid level and color. It should have a nice red color - If it starts to turn brown then the pan needs to be drained and refilled with fresh fluid. This process does not change all the fluid because a lot of the fluid is retained in internal components of an automatic transmission, but as long as it is full and has a nice red color, the transmission should last for many more years. Comments about the Title Report: When new, this vehicle was leased by the first owner - It was never a rental car. The report shows two accidents; In 2006 - a collision with an animal (before we owned it), In 2013 - My wife bumped someone's rear bumper. It did zero damage to the Rodeo and required no repairs, but the other car had a soft bumper cover which crumpled and had to be repaired, so the incident had to be reported to the insurance company. Take a close look at all the pictures. It's a very nice SUV and it runs as good as it looks. It's very rare to find a four wheel drive SUV this nice for under $5,000. Somebody is going to get a great deal on this vehicle. One final note on bidding. If you have zero or low feedback, there is feedback on your account indicating you have been a non-paying bidder on other auctions or if your eBay account is not within the USA or Canada or not within a reasonable shipping distance, you should contact me before you bid. There is a history of non-paying bidders for eBay vehicle auctions and once an auction has ended, I don't want my vehicle tied up for the time it takes to work through eBay's resolution process.
