This is a highly-modified 1972 MG Midget fitted with a widened Arkley body kit that was popular in the 70s. It was built in the late 90s and has been driven about 5,000 miles since then. Power to weight ratio is approximately 3.5lb per hp, which makes this car an absolute hoot to drive. Details as follows: CHASSIS and SUSPENSION - fabricated square tube frame integrated into the strengthened MG body shell - Chris Alston front suspension and steering fitted with adjustable coil-overs and Wilwood discs - Four link rear suspension fitted with adjustable coil-overs on a Currie Enterprises Mustang Cobra rear end with posi-traction and Cobra discs - Corvette dual master cylinder with adjustable proportioning valve POWERTRAIN - stroked 383" SBC built by Patriot Performance, dyno'd at 501hp. - MSD electrics - Holley 750 double-pumper - Custom-built headers and side-pipes - MacLeod throwout bearing and clutch assembly - Tremec TKO II five-speed gearbox with close-ratio fifth gear - Big Griffin radiator (never overheats, even in Texas summers) - 16"x8" front wheels, 17"x11" rears from Team III with knock-off effect centers, fitted with Kuhmo tires. Spare wheel and tire fitted at rear. BODY and INTERIOR - Arkley front and rear clips, widened 4" each side to accommodate the tires, and fitted with Cobra hood scoop and exhaust vents at the sides - Custom-built 13 gallon aluminum gas tank - Tan interior with matching carpets - full set of Smiths gauges - Power windows - Chrome roll-bar - Soft-top This car was built using all-new components and has run great since construction.
