For sale is a complete 1974 CR250 Elsinore. This was going to be a restoration project but decided to sell her off along with some other vintage bikes. Its is pretty much a complete original except for the number plate and the carb (a new Mikuni was installed). The bike will require some TLC to get it into safe riding condition like any 40 year old bike. It would make a great winter project to get ready for the spring if you are somewhat mechanically inclined. I will list the detailed info about the bike below and if you have questions feel free to contact me and I will be happy to answer them.Motor - Compression is very good and the motor fires up in 2-3 good kicks. This is the correct # motor for this year bikeExhaust - pipe and silencer are original which you normally don't see. There are the normal dents underneath but mostly out of view.Bodywork - all original but the previous owner repainted it. Its ok for a rider/racer but not resto quality.Tank is original but does have some dents as you can see in the pictures.Wheels - rims are in nice shape with no gouges or bad scratches. Tires are newSuspension - forks are not leaking but you should probably replace seals and add fresh oil. Shocks are shot and shafts have pitting. If you are racing it you will probably use aftermarket shocks. If restoring parts turn up on ebay for rebuild of the originals.Seat- seat base is in nice shape for 40 years old seat cover is originalAir filter cage is originalControls - bars look very nice and are straight. grips and levers are good and it has the original kill switch.Brakes - I am not sure of the condition because I have not removed the brake plates to inspect them.SHIPPING: costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I don't mind holding the bike for a while once it is paid for. I realize it takes time to make shipping arrangements and I want to make this a stress free experience for the buyer. PAYMENT: A nonrefundable deposit of 200.00 is due within 48 hrs of the auction ending. Balance payment is due within 7 days of the auction ending. I will accept the balance of payment in the following ways-Bank transfer, cash in person, Bank of America cashiers check or USPS money orders.
