Excellent Work Vehicle 1996 Jeep Cherokee SE, 2 door, 2.5L 4-cylinder, 5-speed manual transmission. Basic, solid transportation. Standard features include: Driver front airbag, Bucket Seats, Power Brakes, Power Steering, rear defroster, air conditioning, AM/FM/Cassette stereo system. Purchased in May 2009 with 184,131 miles – current mileage 196,533 as of 12/14/2014. Primarily driven by my daughter to and from high school and around town. The Good Stuff Replaced since purchase (receipts available): New tires and shocks (1/2009 at 185,244 miles) Rear brakes, drums and cylinders (12/2010 at 187,921 miles) Catalytic Converter (12/2011 at 189,357 miles) Radiator and Serpentine Belt (1/2012 at 189,878 miles) Master-Rear Axle/Brake Line (6/2012 at 190,058 miles) Front Brakes, Pads and Rotors, Steering Stabilizer (6/2014 at 195,017 miles) Power Steering Hose and Serpentine Belt (10/2014 at 196,480 miles) belt replaced again because it was coated with Power Steering Fluid The Bad Stuff There’s some deep rust directly beneath the driver side door and it may have gotten into the floorboards along there as well. The driver side interior door handle/armrest is coming off. It’s tough to find a matching one but it’s been suggested that I go to the area junk yards where I can wander the lot looking for the right one. Car is sold as is and is listed locally which could result in this auction ending early.
