Vehicle Detail
1949 Buick Special 2 door fastback coupe, 8 cyl. Yes it is a 1949 - see body tag from GM ( and it is titled as a 1949) The changed body style you are familiar with for 1949 did not start until mid year 1949 according to the Buick Club of America & AACA. It was running and yard driving recently but the wiring harness shorted so it currently does not run or drive. I have not spent any time doing anything to it other than changing out the fluids since I was going to customize it , so it is just stored outdoors in a parking spot I have in my locked storage yard. I bought this car years ago to customize and turn into a lowered and de-chromed street rod anyway because I liked the body shape. However it will be years before I can get around to working on it with the other cars I am currently restoring so realistically it has to go. I don't want to be one of those people with a huge car collection of " I'll get around to them some day cars ". If you decide to restore the car, parts are readily available from a number of Buick aftermarket vendors and are easy to obtain. If you are customizing it, it is yours to do with what you wish just like I was going to to. What you see in the pictures is what you get. Assume if you don't see something it isn't there. Better to be surprised that it exists in the car or trunk than be disappointed. This is either a car needing a total restoration or a car you can customize to your personal taste. Located in Naples FL. Clear title. No trades wanted at all so don't bother to email and ask. Likewise with the reserve. Don't waste your time emailing.
