Vehicle Detail

1953 Dodge Coronet with the optional 241 cu in (3.9 L) "Red Ram" Hemi Engine with a "3 on the tree" manual transmission with overdrive. Car was bought new from dealership and kept in the family "ie" one owner. Has been stored for over 25 years in a enclosed building and started up every couple of years but due to health reasons of owner has not been started in over 8. There are no known overt issues with the car but I'm sure new battery and fuel will have to be done to get her started; also will need new tires and fluids. Car has never been wrecked and has original paint with a few battle scares from years of being parked. Interior is original and in good condition, has some surface rust on undercarriage and exhaust but no known rust cancer. Mileage is just over 70,000 Car was in a movie filmed in Hondo Texas back in the 1980's. Car will have to be picked up by car hauler or trailer as it is not road worthy at this time. It is located in Hondo Texas 78861. If YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK BEFORE BIDDING !!! this is not a new car and will need some work. I am selling this car for the family as the owner has passed away. On Dec-08-14 at 22:33:22 PST, seller added the following information: I have had quite a few questions about the condition of the motor and transmission, all I can tell you is the engine started up 8 or so years ago. the car was not parked due to mechanical problems this was his first car he kept it in the garage in Dallas and had it trailered to Hondo when he retired, his wife passed away just after moving to the farm and the car went on the back burner. It has been stored inside a metal building with a concrete floor, looking at the car and the pictures have not found an mice nest most likely due to wild cats living just outside of the building. As I have stated this car will need some attention ( brakes-tires-fluid changed and gas tank cleaned out, but it is a nice car in original condition. I hope I have answered all your questions but if you have more please email.
