1989 MERCEDES 560SL ROADSTER This is a fine example of the highly sought after 560SL Roadster. I purchased it at an estate sale in Tuscon, Arizona. It is a two owner vehicle originally purchased new in California then sold to the second owner who lives in Tuscon. The car is Signal Red with Palomino Leather and it has 110,000 actual miles. It runs and drives fantastic, just as you would expect with its low mileage. The 5.6 Liter V8 engine is strong and powerful and the trans shifts perfectly smooth. No leaks, noises or mechanical issues of any kind. Air is ice cold, power windows work and power antenna goes up and down as it should. The after market radio/CD player works fine. The paint is beautiful, it looks all original with no fading at all. Leather seats show no wear and the soft top is like new. This is truly a STUNNING looking car, and keep in mind all pictures were taken BEFORE complete detail was done. There is one small wood trim piece that is broken ( see picture ) and both of the small speaker covers are missing. 1 is in the glove box. It has a good matching set of tires with plenty of tread left. I would consider this car above average condition and the best color combination. This model is becoming highly sought after by collectors, especially the 1989 model, which is the last year of this wonderful body style. It's becoming harder and harder to buy a nice one for under $ 10,000. This car was stolen in 2004 and the insurance company paid out. The car was later recovered and Federal law required a Salvage title to be issued. The car is a THEFT RECOVERY and if you take a look at the CARFAX you will see it was never in an accident before the theft.
