1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4. The Good. Runs great. Engine seems to run strong and Transmission shifts smooth. I drove it back home roughly 350 miles over Thanksgiving weekend, and I had no problems with it. I would do it again today if I needed to. I have used this vehicle as a daily driver for the past 4 years without having to make much for major repairs to it and I will continue to use it as a daily driver until someone comes to pick it up. It will have a little over 217k miles on it if it sells in this auction. I put 2 new front tires on it about 6 months ago. Could use rear tires but they are in useable condition as is. All the Glass is good and door locks along with electric windows and sunroof work. Radio cd player casette player all work. The Bad. I dont have a key fob. Gas cover spring is broke so it will flop open when coming to a stop and shut when taking back off. It could use new front and rear bumper facias (see pics) The lock in the front drivers door has been broken away from the door. I have it reattacthed with bolts so it works and latches fine in its current condition. To fix this properly it will need a new door. Drivers side rear brake callipar needs spacers or shimmed as it clatters as you are driving it down the road. Its done this for as long as I have owned it but has never affected the driving condition. AC has never worked for me. I have never messed with it. Heater just recently quit working. May need thermostat or a heater core, again unsure as it just recently quit and I have not looked into it. The front seats are tore up and the rear seats need to be cleaned up. When I bought it I had to put a new ignition in it and when I did that, I did not put the plastic back around the steering wheel. I believe the plastic is in the back. It will be due for an oil change around the end of December. You are buying it as is. I am starting it at $500 with no reserve. It may have unmentioned issues as I am not a mechanic. But I have tried to list as much as I know about it. I personally would not hesitate to drive this jeep anywhere if I needed to. It would be a great first vehicle if someone wanted to put a little work in it or drive it as is. It would also be great for parts or to use as a farm vehicle or Rock Crawler. Must be paid for & picked up within 7 days of the auction ending.
