Vehicle Detail
1996 Land Rover Discovery SE7 This is a very nice Land Rover Discovery SE7 I bought this in 2010 from the original owner. At that time, it had always been serviced by Land Rover and had been garage kept. I didn’t have garage space for it and it sat in the driveway. I drove it for around 1.5 years when my son “borrowed” it. I took it back at the beginning of 2014 only to have it blow a head gasket at 97,000 miles. I had the head gaskets replaced and the transmission rebuilt earlier this year and has since put 3,000 miles on it. It has dual AC and dual sunroofs. It has the 2 jump seats in the rear that makes it an SE7. It has an aftermarket stereo. The interior is in great shape with new headliner. The vehicle has 101,000 miles on it but CarFax shows 127,000. This was my mistake when I titled 2 Landrovers at the same time and provided the incorrect milage to the DMV on this one. It is a non-smoker vehicle. The good: Steering box replaced by previous owner New head gaskets in 2014 Rebuilt transmission in 2014 New battery in 2014 Rebuilt alternator in 2014 New headliner – 3 months ago Tires are 80% (Michelin) New exhaust- 2011 Running boards were added in 2011 No rust All electrical works (windows and sunroof) Both Sunroof sunshades are in great condition The Bad: Has a dent in driver’s door (a Uhaul part hit it while towing it to the shop) SRS light is on- this was not on before the vehicle blew the head gasket and I was told that it is because they had the battery disconnected when the head gasket was replaced and they also removed the memory box (inside the console) to remove the transmission. The repair shop did not have the computer to reset this. It occasionally has a “service engine” light. This is to notify the driver that a normal service is due. This is not the same as the check engine light. The service engine light does not mean there is a mechanical issue, it just defines that service (oil change) is needed. I was told it can be reset but don’t know how. The brush guard is original to the vehicle and is not in great shape. The lights are there for looks and are not hooked up. It occasionally has an antilock brake light that comes and goes. It has not been on for the past 6 months. I have tried to be as complete with my information as possible and don’t think I have missed anything. It is a used vehicle with 100,000 miles on it. It is not perfect. The vehicle is tight and is great to drive. You would never know it has 100,000 miles on it. Please contact me with any questions. The vehicle is located north of Philadelphia. Please have the funds when you bid. Bidding is a binding contract and you will need to have the funds to pay for it. Deposit is $500 within 48 hours from close of the auction. Full payment due within 7 days. Only cash or wire transfer for payment. I will take a certified bank check but the car does not move until the check clears and has no possible way to reverse or stop payment. (Scammer- you know what I mean) I don’t care if you ship the vehicle overseas. The vehicle does not move until payment is received. This is being relisted due to non paying bidder. Please make sure funds are available before bidding.
