Vehicle Detail

I wasn't ready to part with this beautiful car, but financial circumstances make my loss your gain.  This is an all original, matching numbers flagship 1966 Chrysler 300. It is complete, but needs minor cosmetic refreshing to make it a bonafide show car. So, first off, here's the bad:  -Paint is faded on the hood directly above the engine block, due to the heat of the engine, as well as the sun. Theres also minor fading and some clearcoat peeling (a previous owner had it painted and clearcoated, as clearcoat wasnt available at time of manufacture) on the roof and by the rear window on the trunk.  -The headliner is torn, and will need replacing. A complete original headliner can be replaced for around $400.  -The odometer is not currently operable. It's currently stuck at 67999 miles, however, I was assured by the New Mexico DMV that that mileage was authentic. After driving this car home from New Mexico, I am approximating current mileage at 71000. This can be fixed easily with a gear replacement behind the dash.  -The air conditioning will need charging if you can get your hands on R12 freon. Otherwise, a conversion to the current R134a refrigerant is simple and cheap. Compressor and blower work very well though.  Now for the good, which there's plenty of.  -This is a desert car, which means absolutely ZERO RUST. No surface rust on the panels, none on the undercarriage, nothing.  -The interior is brand new. Carpet, upholstery, all new, and very tastefully done, as you can see in pictures.  -Engine runs strong and quiet, and transmission shifts seamlessly. I drove this car back to NYC from Santa Fe, New Mexico over the course of five days with no issues whatsoever.  -This car is fully loaded. Factory power seats and windows, factory air conditioning, and working AM AND FM radio. All work excellent.  -No dents or large scratches to speak of. There are very minor dings and scratches, I'm sure, but it is a 50 year old car, after all. But this car overall is unmolested, with ALL chrome and moldings original and intact.  -Let's face it, this car is a headturner. Everywhere I drive with this car, it attracts attention.  -As an added bonus, it's currently registered with transferrable vintage 1960's New York plates that you can keep on the car if you live in NY.  There's so much more about this car that I'm not thinking of, but feel free to ask questions and come down to see it in person.  My price is firm, however, I am open to REASONABLE offers. I know the value and potential in this car, and I won't even respond to insulting lowball offers. This is a classic automobile, not a '93 Corolla.
