Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1931 Ford 5 window coupe. There is a long story on this car as with most old cars but ill try to keep it semi short. This car was bought from the original owner in 1979 and brought home and completely disassembled, then the previous owner bought a TCI frame and suspension for it with a ford 9'' rear end. the body and all the parts were dipped and zinc primer coated. He bought so many parts for this car and was putting it all together but then as most projects go it got put off and put in storage. While it was there someone had stolen a lot of the original parts for it!! so he started replacing most of the parts like fenders, doors, he bought a brand new hood, running boards and other small things. So when we got it the car was totally taken apart and we have put most of it together as you see it now. It has a brand new 350 motor boarded 40 over which was fully blue printed and balanced and has a full roller valve train in it. The motor was built years ago and was run for 30 min and thats it. since then has been in storage and turned by hand every few months. The car comes with a lot of extra parts as pictured such as a the complete wood kit for the roof all the original lights and a lot of brand new interior trim parts still in the bag. Most of the interior is missing such as a seat door panels and we do not have the front fenders, a transmission, or the radiator but we do have the stainless radiator shell and the complete floor is there and in perfect condition. The Body is 100% rust free!! the passenger door which as i said earlier is not original to the car has a small rust hole in the bottom corner but not bad at all. This car has been sitting and waiting to be put back on the road for years and is perfect for a shop that wants to make it perfect and make some money or for the home mechanic who just wants a nice hot rod and not start with a rust bucket and an original frame and motor that need to much modifying! Also we have a clean California title in hand which for these cars is usually very rare and it is on non opp with the dmv!
