The Chevrolet Corvette has enjoyed a history of being possibly the most popular American sports car. Each generation has a following of fans, and here at Pearson Ford we are offering a gorgeous and well taken care of 1982 Corvette. This vehicle less than 50K original miles and is finished in a gloss black paint job. All badges are present with cross flag emblems at the nose and tail, and the tinted T-tops fit snug on the cars window frame. Wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT2's, the 15 alloy wheels show a great luster. A bright red leather interior provides a comfortable environment for the driver and passenger. That leather wraps the bucket seats with a nice gloss that confirms the low mileage and little use this interior has seen. A straight dashboard and center console are just as glossy and house factory instrumentation, an aftermarket head unit with upgraded speakers, switches for the air conditioning and power windows, and the gear selector for the automatic transmission. Behind the bucket seats is enough room to stash away the T-tops or maybe a couple of suitcases for a weekend getaway. The Cross-Fire Injection system made its debut in 1982 but you will find an Edelbrock Carburetor and matching air cleaner atop the 350 cubic inch V8. Its a motor that's good for 200 horsepower, not a bad number for its time considering the average passenger car was lucky to make half that in 1982. Its mated to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission that transfers power to the rear end. Included with the sale is a stack of receipts outlining the extensive mechanical restoration done to the vehicle! One issue we have run into is a vacuum problem with the pop up head lights. They currently are in the down position until the vacuum issue is fixed.
