Vehicle Detail

This is a 2001 Acura Integra Type-R. It is black. It has 34923 miles. It is entirely stock. It was purchased for me, new, by my father back when I was a spoiled little sh!t. (I like to think that I'm somewhat less spoiled now.) A few years of driving this car with no complaints and I decided that I didn't want it anymore (for reasons numerous and personal)... nothing to do with the car itself. I gave it back to my dad and bought a much lesser expensive Toyota Tacoma... something I can bump shopping carts with and not feel too bad about. Anyway, a few months ago, my dad landed himself in the hospital... congestive heart failure. He's doing alright now, but he has a long road ahead and his wallet has seen better days. I've been tasked with liquidating certain assets for use as payment toward medical bills. That's where the car comes in. Until very recently, I had assumed this car was sold somewhere around 2004. But while my dad was in the hospital, I found out it was in a storage garage. "Wow. OK." So, I located the car and had it towed out and taken to a dealer for maintenance and a mechanical assessment. There they drained the gas tank and all the other fluids, added fresh fluids and filters, cleaned the air filter (K&N), replaced the battery, put new tires on it, washed and detailed it, put on the front/back replacement emblems that I provided them (originals had been stolen a long time ago... back when low-life Fast and Furious morons thought stealing emblems was a good way to pass the time), sucked out a few small door dings, and did some minor plastic repair to the undersides of the front and rear bumpers. There were (and still are) several small scratches on the back of the car, mostly on the hatch lid, from where some MENSA meister broke into the car (circa October 2001) by ripping the back window out with a crowbar and leaving the mess of glass and tint draped over the hatch, scratching it up nicely. Unfortunately, when "touching up" was offered as a means to address these scratches and as an alternative to repainting entire panels, I assumed that meant the careful, precise application of the exact matching paint to effectively cover up the visible scratches. Low and behold, the touching-up that was done has left much to be desired. But... that being said, I've made the decision to move forward and sell the car AS-IS without spending more money on repainting. The paint isn't perfect but the car is in terrific condition otherwise. I haven't been revving it out to 8400 since I got it out of storage (haven't been driving it much at all), but it drives exactly as I remember it. If I could, I would keep this car. Having had the pleasure of driving it once again has left me a bit sentimental, but alas, it isn't my car to keep, and my dad needs the money. I'm not accustomed to selling cars, but eBay Motors was recommended to me by a few people, so here I am. I'll say this right now... DISCLAIMER... I'm not trusting of people by default, so after the PayPal deposit is received post-auction (assuming the car sells), I want the buyer to pick up the car in-person, and the balance will be paid in cash. The title is clear. It's in my dad's name. I have general Power of Attorney. I have the original POA document in my possession, so if you'd like a copy of it along with the signed title, you're welcome to it. I look forward to a relatively painless transaction. I'll do my best to respond to questions right away, and if anyone bidding is able to travel to Phoenix, AZ to see the car and wishes to do so... I'm great with that. Test drives are fine as well. Obviously, I'll be riding with you for the test drive.
