Vehicle Detail

The good: 300+ HP Dual overhead 4.6L V8, Torque monster with power from start to 5K, top speed over 110, I did not have courage to go faster. Stable and smooth all the way up. I usually only go about 75 and use cruse control. New water pump, new alternator and belt, not old spark wires and plugs. Stock radio put back in. New Goodyear eagle all weather tires. Remote start. 167K miles (this is good because this car is easily capable of more than 500K before engine and tranny fail or have issues. No leaks. New ignition computer. New front end steering parts all replaced and tight. new heater core. AC and heat work. 4speed overdrive. 26MPG Hwy at 65, 22MPG Hwy, at 85 this is despite the low ratio rear end which allows you to bark in 1st and 2nd if taking off hard and do not care about tire expense. The engine spins 2K RPM at 70, and hardly works to pull this very efficient shape through the air. Seats are very comfortable, like lazyboys. Air suspension which is usually the weakest part of this car has been totally taken out and replaced with conventional sport springs by me. Its tighter than the air bags but same factory height and will never need service. Breaks have about 30% left. The master cylinder and assist were new a few years ago and was the fuel pump replaced about 4 years back. Glass all good and no cracks. Paint good minor blemishes and dings. Electric windows work fine. Seats adjust. The bad: Power steering pump needs replacement. Add 200 if you want me to have this fixed. The Shoemaker Goodyear does all the work for me and they can get this done if you need it prior to sale. Drives fine on highway but hard to steer in close quarters. Sometimes the engine light comes on due to loose wire in ignition system. Someone broke off the antenna. Headliner blemished, seats have a few holes, looks used. Butterfly in vent blows in defrost position only, see mark 8 message board for details on how to fix, not hard but time consuming and requires dash removal. For now it blows out the defrost vents only. Trunk lock broken but just needs new cylinder not damaged. Can open with trunk release or screwdriver. There is an electrical short in the trunk somewhere that causes the batter to go down if you do not drive this car ever day. Must disconnect the battery if you let it sit for more than a week. Fake tire bump on back makes the car look funny. Poor fuel economy if you romp on it. If you regularly have a heavy foot you can get some pretty bad fuel economy. You can get 18-20 around town if you can resist the temptation of doing a rocket launch at ever light. General: This has been my daily driver for over 10 years. I'm heart broken to loose it. I am moving across the country and its just not a good fit in my life now. I've kept up with the main maintenance for reliability. The, heater core replacement was 800. All the replacement arms and bushings in front end was over 1000 last year. The computer was 1200 for labor and parts. The tires are 900 from Sears. The waterpump cost 300. the alternator cost 500. The remote start is 500. The Stereo was 850 installed. The wires and plugs were 300. I did not try to fix headliner or seats but they can be repaired. The butterfly valve is difficult but can be done in a weekend if you are good with yoga or have pro do it for 800. This car is a dream to drive and very comfortable with gobs of power anytime you want. its main issue its not easy to work on. The other issue is the air suspension but that's been removed so that is not an issue with this particular car. If you like a lot of power and reliability and do not mind a few issues with the interior, this car is for you. The price does not give me back anything near what I have in it but its fair and equitable for the right person. Please do not talk to me unless you understand all I've written here. Don't waste your time or mine. If you want more pics ask. If you want a test drive text me. I'm not in a hurry to sell. I can wait until the right person comes along. This is the hot rod that everyone trys to build and spends 20K. the difference, its already ready and uses very standard parts. If you want 300HP lounge chair with nice audio then this is your car. On Nov-13-14 at 07:10:51 PST, seller added the following information: NO RUST, NO ENGINE LEAKS OR ISSUES, RUNS STRONG, TRANNY ALL GOOD, ALL TIRES EXCELLENT AND NEAR NEW, STEERING TIGHT. IF AFTER A TEST DRIVE YOU ARE NOT COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH YOUR DECISION TO TAKE THIS CAR, I WILL REFUND 90% OF WHAT YOU PAID AS WINNING BIDDER AND TAKE THE CAR BACK AND PUT IT BACK UP ONLINE.
