0 0 1 437 2494 Westlake Financial Group, Inc. 20 5 2926 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE You are bidding on a 1965 Ford Fairlane. Vin # 5A43T185511 (vin plate is included in the pictures attached). I lowered the reserve making this Ford a bargain!!Just to be clear - the first bid will reach the reserve!! I wasn't sure how to set it up on Ebay to reflect that fact. I bought this car inclusive in a package deal. I’m keeping one of the cars – selling the other. Let me tell you why I like this car – style and economy. She has good looks and has an inline 6-cylinder engine (200 cubic inch). (model 65A) – Her mpg’s should be in the 20 -25 mpg range. Therefore you have an economical, attractive collector’s car. And she is RED (Code J – Rangoon red) with a red interior. What a great color combination for a Fairlane! She has NO power options. You'll love the retro roll up windows. No power steering, no power brakes. Just the way I like them - less to repair. She also has a very retro “3” on the tree manual transmission, which makes it a blast to drive. She sounds great too, with an aftermarket exhaust system. You might believe she is an 8 cylinder when you hear the exhaust sound. She also wears very cool moon hubcaps and chrome trim rings. The addition of which makes a huge difference in the curb appeal. She is also a two-door coupe, not a sedan. So the windows, front and rear, go down and create a great looking open aired coupe with no interruption of the handsome lines. Her tires are in fine shape and are low profile. The car is an EXCELLENT runner, and wonderful driver. Nearly rust free, the only rust is in one of the seams in the trunk and is easily repairable. The body is very straight with an amateur re-spray, interior has newer carpet and original seats. This is the perfect candidate for a first time drivable collector's car. There is no need to do anything to this outstanding vintage Ford to your local car show or drive in. You can certainly drive this coupe every day. It would make a perfect daily driver. As you can see in the pictures there is very little “body work” that needs to be done, and the interior can be restored with plentiful off the shelf parts. This time capsule starts with the very first twist of the key. There are no driveline noises; she shifts very well and the brakes work well too. She stops like a – 1965 car. Is she perfect? No. Is she darn cool, yes, and she very affordable. It might be the most reasonably priced, driver quality, collector car on Ebay currently. There is no reserve above the initial offering price. Just look at the pictures - she shows well. Due to her age she is being sold as-is. Inspections are invited. We have a lift on site, at my car collection, and additional pictures can be taken upon request. Test drives are also invited. We try very hard to describe/photograph my cars so that there are no surprises. I want you to be happy with your purchase. However, there are no warranties implied or expressed. We answer all emails. This car is my personal car – The Burt Collection is a collection of my personal cars and not a business entity. We will help with shipping – we can even arrange a shipper for you. We will ship overseas, and have done so before. I feel confident that you can fly in (Chicago) and drive this car anywhere. Good Luck Bidding.
