Vehicle Detail
Up for sale I have probably the coolest and most unique vehicle you will ever come across. This has so many one-of-a-kind features, I really don’t know where to start so I separated everything into categories.THE TRUCK 1993 Toyota 4Runner SR5 with only 165,000 miles on it! Very clean interior. Every light and power option works like it was brand new. Power windows, rear power cargo window, ECT, overdrive, 4WD, and Cruise Control all work like a champ! The AC blows so cold it will freeze you out! I actually find myself turning it off on when I am on the road to make it warmer inside- this in the middle of the Georgia summer heat! And speaking of heat- that works equally as well in the winter. HOT, even on the coldest winter day! (Or as cold as it gets here!)Sirius-ready am/fm/cd/usb radio with aux input installed last year. Speakers upgraded to Kickers. Factory tint makes it almost impossible to see what is in your cargo area from the outside. Perfect headliner. Clean seats have always had covers. Reclining front seats. Fold-flat rear seats converts the cargo area into a 6-foot bed. With the tailgate down, the bed area increases to an 7 foot bed.Exterior has the minor dings and blemishes expected in a 22 year old truck but no overly-noticeable dents or damage. Heavy duty 2” lift springs and Blistein shocks installed. Roof rack with waterproof storage boxes. Heavy duty front winch bumper by TJM. Receiver hitch and tow package. 31” BFG all-terrain tires have plenty of miles left in them.THE ENGINE1995 Toyota 1KZ-TE 4-cilynder TURBO DIESEL with only 35,000 miles on it! The PO had this conversion done before I bought the truck and it looks completely stock. I have been getting around 25mpg city and 30mpg highway. This engine pushes this truck right along with no power problems at all. (Plus, the turbo diesel sounds super-cool) Pull out in front of traffic and get up to speed just like any other truck. I pull my 20’ boat with it and don’t even know it is behind me, except on steep hills. On the highway, it cruises at interstate speeds (70-80) with no trouble, though at 80mph on a southern summer day it runs hot. This is a common issue and they sell an aftermarket cooling kit for it but if I slow down to 75 mph the temperature goes back down to where it should be. All belts and hoses are in great shape. Oil changed religiously every 3500 miles using synthetic Rotella-T.Known Issues/Recent Maintenance:Recently I was having a problem with the engine shutting down while I was driving. Once it rested for 10-15 minutes it would start right up again. It turns out the fuel cutoff solenoid was bad, so I had it replaced this weekend. I took it on a 2 hour test drive yesterday, and then a 45 minute one this morning and it and it never cut out, so it looks like that issue is fixed. Also, the injectors were replaced last year. The only real problem I have ever had was when the transmission had an internal leak in the coolant, so it had to be replaced. Every single piece of this transmission is Brand New! It is STILL UNDER WARRANTY until 2020! 4WD works like a charm. ECT great for pulling the boat or whatever you have. The other issue it has is that when you are braking, it pulses a bit. You can also feel it in the steering wheel at certain speeds. My local mechanic checked it out and said it was a warped rotor, so it should be no problem to have fixed if you want. It is most noticeable when turning left, so it is probably the right rotor, but I would replace them both if you are going to do it. I never fixed it because I was saving up to do a front solid axle swap, and it would have been fixed then. Plus, it never really bothered me that much. THE FUELThe GoldenFuel Systems 2-tank waste vegetable oil conversion was professionally installed by the GoldenFuel dealer in Lumberton, NC (Carolina Greasle). Please explore the GoldenFuel website to get as much information as possible about this conversion. http://www.goldenfuelsystems.com This is my second GoldenFuel vehicle, and I will definitely be putting one in my next truck. I honestly haven’t had to buy gas for the past 7 years. I love these systems. I have found that there are more than enough restaurants looking to donate their used oil, and have never run out in 7 years of driving primarily on WVO. Another plus to this system is that since gas stations have switched to ULS Diesel, the vehicle performance is better when I am running WVO. I have more power, better mileage, and less engine noise. (Plus a really tasty exhaust smell!) This was tested and confirmed on both Mythbusters and Top Gear. The truck has the stock 20 gallon diesel fuel tank, and a second 25 gallon auxillary tank for the vegetable oil, but you can also put diesel in it if you need to. With both tanks full, I can leave my home in Myrtle Beach, SC and drive to Atlanta, GA (6 hrs) and back (another 6 hrs) without stopping for fuel. When the apocalypse happens (or any natural disaster... but let’s be honest. Zombies!) and everyone is running out of fuel because there is no power at the pumps, you will be sitting pretty in my fully fueled and operational truck! Let the masses battle it out at the gas stations. You’ll be the one filling your tank in secret behind the restaurants! There are many filters and pumps on the market to fill your WVO tank.I have the "One-Shot" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jt187bVVR4U and it has never let me down in 7 years of using it for every fillup. I highly recommend it, but you should research and get what will work best for you. I will throw in a full tank of "Grade V" for you.THE OWNERI really don’t want to have to sell this truck. It is seriously the best vehicle I have ever owned. It runs great, gets amazing mileage, is large enough to hold all of my gear on a long trip and the 4wd gets me wherever I want to go. Everywhere I go, I get looks and “thumbs up” and plenty of comments in parking lots. The only reason I am selling it is because of my job. I am an actor on a popular zombie-themed TV show where “Dead” people are “Walking” around http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5013246/ as well as many others. Unfortunately, I am only on the Z-List and not up to the level where the studios will cover my hotel expenses, but they will usually allow us to stay on property if we have a camper. So it is with much regret that I have decided to sell the Z-Mobile to help pay for a motor home. I know that I will probably be kicking myself for doing it, but at least I can take comfort knowing that it will make the next owner very happy. Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Maybe when the apocalypse happens, we will see each other out on the road, being 2 of the few vehicles that are actually still running! I want you to be happy with this truck. When you come to pick it up, if it is not exactly as listed you will get your deposit back. Once you drive it off, though, it is yours. Remember, it is a 22 year old truck and unexpected things are bound to happen. I have no reason to believe that they will- in fact, I trust this truck more than I trust most new vehicles. I would not hesitate to take it cross country. I just want you to understand what you are buying. After you take it, if something DOES go wrong, I will be more than happy to give you my resources and help you find good deals on parts or whatever you need.
