I purchased this car last year for my wife. I repaired the damage to the lower grill and got it inspected with the state of Iowa and licensed. We quickly learned that a 2 door will not work with our special needs son! I obtained both factory key sets and the top cover from the previous owner and learned it was "totaled" because the airbag light was on when the insurance adjuster came to see the damaged front grill. The light is a common new beetle problem that is caused by a broken wire in the seat belt snap = this is fixed and the airbags are good. Radio is an ALPINE brand - no cd changer in the trunk! I obtained factory alloy wheels and good tires. The battery was replaced last December when a friend borrowed the car. The car was purchased with 112,000 miles and now has 115,000+ miles. This was my daily driver for most of the summer and I loved the ease of lowering the top! I am selling so I don't have to take a school loan for my daughter's college next month. The car is for sale locally and may be removed at any time.
