1980 Chevy C10 Stepside Shortbed Pickup This is a solid and clean hot rod truck. Runs and drives great. Awesome driver or bring it to shows. Factory 350ci 4bbl with a light hydraulic towing cam, Turbo 350 Automatic with shift kit, 12 Bolt posi rear with 3 series gears, Cold Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, CD player stereo. Dual exhaust off factory manifolds. Aluminum intake with Edlebrock carb. Vintage aluminum finned valve covers and custom Cadillac style air cleaner. A few chrome engine compartment accents were also added. This truck was conservatively lowered 2 inches but has a really nice comfortable ride height. The paint is Hotrod Satin Black with gloss hockey stick type stripes and insert on the tailgate. The bed wood was replaced with composite decking to withstand the Florida sun with the color to contrast the interior color theme. All the chrome and stainless is all in nice shape with the exception of one lower grille molding which I have a clean replacement.The interior is custom with bucket seats with a 70's style factory console. The dash is original with no cracks in the pad and the cluster bezel is clean. All the gauges work with the exception of the clock. The steering wheel is a custom billet wheel with a bow tie horn button and the tilt steering column is tight. The dash vent insert has had small repairs on one end but still looks great. I do have a brand new replacement insert in all black with a "Custom" emblem that goes with the truck. The blackwall 235/75/15 tires are new mounted on gloss black aluminum 8"X 15" mag wheels. Rear sliding window and all the glass is in nice condition. The body is straight and solid. The sheet metal is all very nice along with the cab floors. The inside cab floor and inner bed sides have been sprayed with protective bedliner material. It has factory dual gas tanks but I disconnected the passengers side at the switching valve. The tanks did switch and the gauge works on both tanks but the right tank has been unused. This truck is going on 35 years old but very solid, clean, yet rugged and reliable. This is not a frame off restoration show truck but definitely not a rusty and rotted rattle trap. It has been always maintained and repaired over time and does have normal road wear. I see no indication the truck has ever been in an accident of any concern. It really runs and drives great, tight and smooth with many replaced parts. The truck was gone through in the early 90's and again within the last few years. I was told the speedometer was replaced with a new GM unit so the true miles are unknown. It does have delay wipers with washer but the washer doesn't work, I have another wiper motor to go with the truck. The engine does not smoke, knock or leak. The radiator, hoses, belts, thermostat and coolant have been recently serviced. The transmission shifts strong and barks second gear if throttled down on. The steering is tight, shocks are about 1 year old, calipers, front hoses and master cylinder are all recent. Spark plugs and filters are new. This vehicle does get driven daily and used as it is intended for. I also do tow with it on occasion. There is also a Uhaul brand 2"x 2" receiver hitch with a 4 plug harness. My family loves this truck, its solid, reliable and really not bad on fuel economy. The reason I am selling it is due to having another child and this truck is just no longer suitable for my situation. My reserve is in my opinion set fair and reasonable in consideration to comparable trucks that I have seen sell. Although this is not a frame off show truck it is a clean solid driver that turns heads with all possibilities for a custom build into something show quality. I naturally would like to get as much as possible but I am going to be realistic and negotiable. Therefore I will be looking at the final bid seriously and motivated to sell if the price seems reasonable. So bid to win!
