Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1986 Isuzu Impulse Turbo. I believe I am the 3rd owner. A rare 1980's import classic, original survivor, low mile, garage find. Looks to have been stored unused for many years. It has original paint in VERY GOOD condition, near EXCELLENT. The interior as well, is in VERY GOOD condition. Almost no rust anywhere, only surface dusting on bare metal components, or those lightly painted, or zinc plating has worn off. I have owned it since June of 2010, and worked on it for a year and a half doing all the required maintenance (fluids, belts, etc.), addressing issues from being stored for so long (mostly oil seals), and lightly modifying and customizing it to my taste. Interesting note, the Isuzu Impulse was designed by the famous Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign, who's design language of the period also appear on the Lotus Esprit, BMW M1, and DMC Delorean to name a few (they look very similar). Would be nice to see this car go to a museum or private collection. It has working A/C, and a clear Florida title. I have a full set of manuals, and invoices for all the parts purchased and work done. I have above average mechanical skill, and have done almost all of the work myself in a well eqipped work space using proper tools and techniques. I have the parts to return to original condition, and they are included in the sale. I also have a set of new OEM parts to cover some of the known issues, and some consumables. Although the majority of OEM mechanical and cosmetic parts are no longer available, sometimes I am surprized at what I am able to get. It helps that I have the parts manual, because the still existing Isuzu Dealers are not very helpful. But if you show up with part numbers, they'll order whatever you want, just be very pacient (I've waited upto 6 months for parts). For mechanical maintenance parts to keep the car running, I have solved all my needs at Rock Auto, they are hard to beat, and you get them in a week. Changes I did to improve the appearence: Front lip spoiler, mud guards, lower suspension, tuner wheels, dark tints. All reversable. Changes I did to improve the performance: Dunlop Direzza tires (215/40R17), custom front big brake rotor conversion, installed optional limited slip differential from donor car, K & N air filter, boost increase mod from 8.5 psi max to 10 psi max, custom unrestricted exhaust from the turbo back. All reversable. I originally purchased it with a little more than 11k miles, and now it has a little more than 16k. Although not fast by today's standards, it has pep and is fun to slice and dice through flowing traffic. Gets some looks and compliments for how rare it is, and how good a condition it is in. I have enjoyed the time I have had with it, and am confident you will too. I do have a car hauler that I would be willing to negotiate separately, for the winning bidder to be able to transport this gem home. In this case, it is the buyers responsibility to have an adequate tow vehicle with the correct towing equipment including a minimum class III hitch, 7 pin plug, and trailer brake controler. The car and parts are located in Miami, Florida 15 minutes away from Miami International Airport. I can not transport the car for you, or arrange shipping, but will assist if you arrange to have the car picked up. Now for the "fine print"/"legalese": I reserve the right to end this auction early. The car is beind sold as-is where-is with no warranty implied. I do have a reserve price set at what I believe is a fair minimun value for this car. Winning bidder must deposit a non-refundable deposit of USD $500 within 24 hours via Pay-Pal. Balance to be paid within 72 hours, in USD via Bank to Bank wire trasfer, or in cash in person, before transfer of the title and/or posession of the car and parts. Winning bidder is responsible for all taxes, and transfer and title fees. Once paid in full, winning bidder becomes the owner of the car and parts, and assumes all hazard risks for loss or damage while in storage or during transport.
