One of the most beautiful examples of a “Roundie” BMW 2002 in the country. This is a solid car inside and out, investments have been made to improve the looks, performance and drivability. Major Features of the car · Rust Free Texas Body – car lived in Texas most of it life and as such does not have any rust on any body panels. There is no body rust on this car. · Upgraded exterior and interior - complete repaint of the car in 2009 to the black/tan color scheme of the modern BMW 750 (owner had the 2002 painted in the same color scheme as his company car for use on weekends). Interior has been completely redone with tan door panels that match the Recaro seats. Dash has been covered in black leather. Exterior and interior are stunning and really make the car stand out in a crowd of any vintage cars and especially other 2002s · Five Speed Transmission – upgraded to make it more enjoyable when driving on the interstate – improves gas mileage, reduces noise, and will cruise all day at 70 MPH at 3,000 RPM · Air Conditioning – Car was originally from Dallas and has been recently serviced to provide a comfortable driving machine in 90+ degree weather · Upgraded cooling system – new aluminum racing radiator has been installed with an upgraded electric cooling fan and thermostat controls. · Upgraded ignition system – installed a Tii mechanical distributor with pertronix electronics and MSD ignition system all set up to work with the original tach · Upgraded suspension and sway bars – Battery relocated to the trunk with integrated brace bar, sway bars installed on the front and rear, Bilstein sport shocks installed in all four corners, and front suspension recently rebuilt. Drive wonderfully on the interstate and two-lane curvy roads · Upgraded Weber side draft Weber carburetor system and exhaust system – single side draft Weber carb and manifold installed to improve the overall performance and drivability of the car. Significant performance improvements over the original Weber 32/38 carburetor setup.
