Vehicle Detail

Selling my 1977 Project Corvette. I bought this car about 6 months ago from a friend who had to get rid of it, as he was getting married and needed the garage space ASAP. He owned it for about 5 years -- it started as a daily driver, but kind of fell into a state of disrepair as for the last 2 years he never drove it. The brakes had a leaking calipers, so he went to pull it out of the garage, and he had no brakes at all -- those how the nose damage occurred. That has now been fixed, and the car has brakes -- but there are still a few more things that need to be fixed for it to be road worthy again. But at least it was been on the road recently. The Good:Real L-82, 4 Speed, as verified by the VIN numberStrong engine, with several performance upgrades. Headers, Elderbok intake, 4 barrelGood transmission Interior in pretty good shapePretty sure this is a rare option car -- The L-82 and 4 speed are rare anyway, but I believe it has the close ratio gear box (not sure how to check for sure), and has the wiring for a trailer hitch and the frame mount holes. (289 came with the trailer hitch, and who would add one aftermarket??)Just replaced all 4 calipers and pads. The Bad:The front bumper cap has a dent / fiberglass hunk/crack in it from hitting a garage door frameNeeds a paint job, its a pretty amateur paint job that looks bad as soon as you get closeHas a crack in the glass T-top, that has been leaking water on the carpet when it rains - that carpet needs to be replaced now as it mold on it. Have not looked under carpet to see if there is any other damage.Headlights don't pop upHad AC, but has been removedThere is a gas leak near the top of the rear tank. I have dropped the tank and replaced the hoses, but the leak is still there.Current registration, but I would not drive it too far without a solid going through.Send me email with phone number, and I will call you back. All questions will be answered via ebay questions as well. I also have video of the car running, if you want to confirm. Email for link. I do not know if it is numbers matching -- I would assume so, but have not checked the block. Will assist with any shipping, but prefer local pickup. The car should be towed and not driven away. Title in hand. Actual milage is around high 60's. No Reserve! I have too many projects and do not have the time for this one.On Nov-04-14 at 06:16:42 PST, seller added the following information: I have uploaded the video of the engine running to here: As mentioned, it starts right up, and runs strong. Also wanted to mention that the transmission is good -- Shifts easily through all 4 forward gears and reverse. Also, the power windows work. On Nov-05-14 at 18:02:51 PST, seller added the following information: Wanted to add:  I also have a full folder of documentation for this car, that was passed on by previous owners to my friend, who passed it on to me.  I have added a photo of this folder -- it full of old registrations, some service documents, title transfers, when the lien on the car ended, etc.  Looks like the car was originally sold in Indiana.  No original manual or sticker, but its still interesting stuff to go through -- and of course it goes with the car.  On Nov-08-14 at 11:07:13 PST, seller added the following information: One more update before the auction ends tomorrow: Several people have asked me for additional pictures around the condition of the car. I went out to where it is stored, and took some more today. They can be found here: There are additional pictures of the frame of the car, the damage on the front bumper cap, the milage, and I tried to get some pictures of the floorboard on the driver's side. For those pictures, I lifted up the carpet as best I could, with out tearing it all out. The bottom of the floorboards are all there, no holes -- It looks orange but I don't think that is rust, it felt like some kind of rust protection paint. I got a few pictures under the car, but its so low, I did the best I could. Also, I wanted to let everyone know that I got the milage of the car off by 5K miles -- it has 75K miles, not high 60's. I apologize for this mistake - I must have remembered wrong and got it confused with another car of mine. If you bid and feel this changes your mind on the car, please let me know and I will cancel your bid.
