1958 BMW R69 w/matching numbers frame and engine. Classic example sporting early Eber tail light, early flat license frame, early Bosch horn w/later production Knects aircleaner, big headlight ears, non dished headlight bucket, and braced front fender. All original to this bike. Purchased locally from a private owner that had kept under cover since 2009. The motor spins freely using the kickstart and produces spark to the plugs. Running when previous owner purchased, he lost interest and the bike has not been started since then. Fuel tank is clean and dry inside with only minimal signs of oxidation. It rolls freely and both front and rear brakes work. The engine oil is clean. The cycle was repainted many years ago. Very solid metal with only surface rust. No accident damage. This Beemer is a prime candidate for restoration! Very rare and desirable model that deserves to be put back in it's original condition. Although, I would love to be the one to complete it, I have chosen to pass it on. Aftermarket fiberglass faring, 50's era fiberglass hard bags w/key, tool kit w/original compartment key, as well as, fork lock key are included in the sale. South Carolina title in hand.
